Monetary System
UO Evolution uses Gold, Tokens and Evolution Dollars(ED) as currency in the game.
Gold
Gold can be earned by crafting/selling or by killing monsters
The Gold Ledger is blessed, make sure you keep this in your main backback and NOT inside any bags
The custom Gold Ledger weighs zero stones and has many useful built-in functions:
- Gold sweeper
- Auto-looter
Tokens
Tokens are automatically earned and added to your token ledger each time you kill a monster. Tokens can be redeemed for prizes on a vendor stone
This item is blessed, make sure you keep this in your main backback and NOT inside any bags
There is a custom token ledger to manage your tokens.
Evolution Dollars(ED)
Evolution Dollars can be obtained by Donating, participating in staff events, random drop from voting, random drop from Felucca dungeon chests, daily ED raffle stone, auctions, buy from players, the custom treasure maps and in the loot packs of the Felucca custom Bosses
You can also fine some ED for gold available in our custom market system. open up your market gump daily to check for rare items

List of Ways to Obtain ED without a Donation
UO Evolution is is FREE to PLAY and the ONLY shard to let players earn donation dollars in game while playing the game!
- Earn ED from the Task System, use [task to open the gump
- ED drops from Daily Reward Chest
- Earn ED from Voting on the top list stones at Britain Bank
- Earn ED from the Custom Tmap System
- Find Evolution Dollars in Felucca Dungeon Chests
- Evolution Dollars have now been added to the Market System for GOLD. Make sure you use
the [market command in-game daily!
- Many top items can be earned in game from Custom Quests and sold to players for Evolution
Dollars
- ED Jackpot drops daily from the Market System
- Look for free ED drops at holiday events
- Earn ED from staff events such as Hunger Games, Pet Wars, Naked Fistfights and Deco
Contests
- Buy and Sell items from the Market System for ED and become a top merchant
- Look for opportunities to buy Evolution Dollars from players for Gold
Marketplace Dollars(MPD)
Marketplace Dollars are bonus currency obtained when donating or as a staff reward. MPD are bound to your acct and can be accessed through the market gump. MPD are similar to Evolution Dollars, but can only be spent in the Market System, using the command [market
The MPD's have the same value as ED on the Market
When spending currency on the Market, the system will use the MPD first, and then ED
Evolution Coin (EC)
This is a new form of currently available to Evolution players. They are bound to your account and cannot be sold or traded.
The way you earn the new coins is by simply being online. You are rewarded one coin for each hour you are online. The purpose of this system is to get players to log in daily and stay activly online
Just leave the Evolution Coin Ledger in your bank box and the system will take care of itself for you, the only thing you need to do is log in and stay online to be rewarded.
Players can use their Evolution Coins to start up a champion spawn! Click on the red champ skull on a champion altar to open the gump. Pay the 50 EC to trigger the spawn!
There are Evolution Coin Vendor Stones around the world, the ones in town will look like the normal EC in your bank but will have an item on display that can be purchased with your saved up Evolution Coins.
We will also have special items at the auction that you can use EC's to bid and purchase items with.
Finally, there will be hidden Evolution Coin Stone vendors in the world where rare things can be purchased and these stones are subject to vanish or be moved at anytime, some may even only allow for a certain number of items to be purchased and then no longer be available.
Leprechaun Gold
Search deep in the depths of the Underworld and find a nasty Goblin Thief, but beware...they don't give up their Leprechaun Gold easily!
Leprechaun gold can be used to gamble with at the Lucky Irish Tavern in Serpent Hold or used to level up the Alchemy Gear. Also watch for secret vendor stones in March that use Leprechaun Gold for currency...you may get lucky and find some rares!
Also note, the higher your luck, the more Leprechaun gold will drop when you slay a Goblin Thief!
Honey
Honey can be used as currency with the Savages in Ilshenar. They will trade their rare items for Honey and Slumgum. See the Beekeeping System for more info.
Game Tokens
Game Tokens are blue gems that the staff uses to reward players for attending events. There is a blue vendor stone in Trinsic that has prizes to choose from. Buy a prize or save them for larger prizes in the future
Ledgers
We have added a special item that will hold your gold called a "gold ledger".
This ledger helps you organize your gold in one place and can be used from inside your pack. You can withdraw gold coins or make a check from the gump.
Look at the ledger, there are many settings you can select. The gold sweeper and auto-loot functions are very useful.
There is also a "token ledger" with the same functionality
