Crafting
UO Evolution has taken crafting to a new level
View custom resources here
There are many types of traditional/custom crafting on UO Evolution. The major categories are:
Blacksmith
Blacksmithing is custom on UOE and has some unique features. There are many custom additions, including new ore types, runic hammers, and new bulk order deed (BOD) rewards.
Blacksmith BOD Reward List
How to Blacksmith
Double-click on a smith's hammer or tongs while in the vicinity of a forge and anvil. A gump will open displaying the types of armor and weapons you can make (based on your skill and your current supply of metal). Select the item you wish to make, and if you're successful an item of that type is created.
How to repair and item
Select the anvil icon in the selector window to attempt to repair a metal item, then click on the item you wish to repair (note that on a botched repair attempt, it is actually possible to damage the item further, or even destroy it completely). Some metal is lost every time an item is reforged, so you cannot keep reforging the same item into something else and back again.
Note: Blacksmithing is extremely expensive skill to raise for a new player. Mastering blacksmithing may take 50k worth of ingots.

Custom Sewing Kits (Enhanced, Enchanted, Mystical)
How to create armored clothing:
These special sewing kits allow crafters to combine 5 skill clothing items of the same type and skill to create an armored cloth item with the potential for additional properties.
The results of the new armored cloth item is based on Tailoring Skill, Luck and the skill value of the original 5 cloth items used.
The gump displays all of the potential results, risks and cost before committing.
There are three different kinds of kits, the only difference is the success rate based on the cloth items used:
- Enhanced Sewing Kit 33%
- Enchanted Sewing Kit 66%
- Mystical Sewing Kit 99%
If you fail to create the item, then each cloth item you have selected has a 5% chance of being destroyed and a 15% chance of losing +1. You will always lose the gold on a failure
If all 5 items are +10 you will have a chance at crafting an item above +10. The chance is based on your tailoring skill
After you craft the armored clothing, you CAN add sockets to the item!
