Contract System

This custom Contract System allows you to visit a contract dealer and select what contract you want to fulfill. Once you have the contract, there is a limited time to complete the contract. A contract, in simple terms is what you get you from a contract dealer that directs you to do a task or series of tasks for a reward. Each contract dealer will refresh the contracts available after a specific period of time has expired, each deal has its own timer. When you accept a contract for a specific category you will not be able to get a new contract for a certain period of time.

Types of Contracts

In general, these are the types of contracts you can choose to complete:

  • Make this Item
  • Do this Task
  • Collect these Items
  • Kill this Monster
  • Tame this Animal
  • PVP Bounty Contracts

Players can only get one "Type" of Contract at a time. For clarity, when you read the Contracts that are offered, you will see "Type: XXX XXX" (Example: Type: Dragon Crusade). There are several offerings for each category so choose carefully, based on time and difficulty. As we develop this system we will be adding many more contracts and types.

Merchant Ledger

You can purchase a "Merchant Ledger" from the Britain Banker or Minter. It is a blessed item. This ledger allows you to see the Contracts you have gathered. "Merchant Ledgers" are transferable between your characters, but the actual Contracts are not. Contracts are assigned to the character that originally received it.

Contract Rewards

Here are some examples of the contracts and rewards. More are always being added and can change at any time. The rewards are generally based on the difficulty of the contract. Contract rewards.png

How Rewards are Calculated for Merchant Contracts

1. Rewards are set specifically for each of the current Crafting Merchant Contracts. Each (craft) [MC] quest giver hands out rewards according to the contracts rewards table value. (due to this being a rewards table/list do not forgot there is RNG involved, hopefully on a small scale)

2. The total number of merchant contracts you have done, all together, has no role in deciding which rewards list to [MC] system rolls on.

3. Progression is vital here, in that it unlocks harder contracts, thus doing 50 contracts should improve a players chances of being rewarded better.

4. As you complete more contracts your reward potential should improve--based on players [MC] progression and the difficulty of the next contract chosen--but it will still require the player to have some understanding of what is easy contract versus a tough one.

Note: a player at 500 tailoring [MC] completed still runs into the same contracts they did at 50, so knowledge (make a list!) is power here.

5. Contract givers reset about every 15 minutes, of real time, so make sure to cycle through until you find a contract you know will give you the potential rewards table you are interested in.

6. Patience. Trial and error is important, with Merchant Contracts. Also, remember that the rewards lists/tables are subject to RNG--they are lists/tables after all. So, a tough turn in could still give a lousy reward as that tough turn in might share the same table with a lesser tough turn in.

Locations of Contract Dealers

There are many locations, so make sure look around...new ones will be added as we expand the system

  • The location for the Dragon Crusade Contract Dealer is SW of Brit Bank area, where the 4 hut/houses are (follow the road out of SW BB area, & keep following South, then take 1st road branch to the east).

The Royal Hunt Event

Royalhunt.png

The Royal Hunt Event expands upon the Contract System. Each hour or so the Royal Hunter NPC will have new contracts available, which you will have a few hours to complete. Once you finish the contract for the trait to be added, you will be rewarded and offered a new contract. Each one completed increases the tier and reward.

This is a very easy system and intended for new players to earn rewards

Once you have over 150 hunts it changes from gift to favor. When you get to 400 hunts it changes to selectable.

New Traits:

  • Wings of the Dragon Added: Royal Hunt reward focused on Archers
  • Tail of the Dragon Added: Royal Hunt reward focused on Fencers
  • Fist of the Dragon Added: Royal Hunt reward focused on Macers
  • Breath of the UnDragon Added: Royal Hunt reward focused on Necro-Mages
  • Rise of the UnDragon Added: Royal Hunt reward focused on Necromancers

The "Royal Huntsman" can be located inside Lord British's Royal Castle, at the entrance of the Royal Stables
