I have seen people recently trying to work discordance.  I will post how I got to 120 in the simplest manner possible.


First and foremost get your music to 100.  Do not go over 100 as it will mess up gains later on.  This can be performed by playing any instrument over and over again.  I used a razor macro for this.


Some notes, execptional quality instruments decrease a mobs difficulty by 5% and slayers by 10%.  Using an opposed slayer will gain you 10% to your difficulty.  This is critical in skill training.
Next buy Discordance up to as high as you can.

It was brought to my attention that I left out a critical part of this.  When building your macro after you make one attempt on each polar bear or cu sidhe you need to hide for about 15 seconds (invis or hide skill will work).  This will let the discordance wear off of the targets and will allow you to re-use the skill on them.  If your discordance does not wear off in 15 seconds then make the pause longer.  You will get a message about the target already being affected by discordance and there will be a swirl of particles around the target if they are affected.  Without doing this once all the targets are in discord (under the effects of the discordance skill) you will no longer be able to land on those targets and therefore cannot gain any more skill.

Now go tame some polar bears.  The higher the music difficulty the better.  Post tame I try and shoot for around a 45 barding difficulty.  you can gain +/-25 skill.  These will need to be placed on a boat (i use 10 since it is a good number for small boat macroing), and then work your disco up to around 65'ish.


Next is to tame some Cu Sidhe.  Go for as high as a barding difficulty as possible but in the end it wont matter much.  Swap the polar bears for Cu Sidhe and resume macroing (use exception instruments or skill jewelry if needed).  This will take you to 108'ish  before it gets painfully slow.


At this point swap to a demon slayer instrument (I use an iolo's lute) and resume macroing.  This will take you to 118'ish.  At this point work music up to 120 and gain the rest of your skill from normal play or scrolls of trans.


This is how I got to 120 painlessly in disco.  I have done this on both the production OSI servers and also on Evolution.  Expect to use about 1k demon slayer charges on Evolution (if for some reason your on the OSI production servers expect to use around 6k uses).

I wondered if anyone used this guild at all.  TBH i wrote this while completely hammered drunk and aside from leaving out the fact that when you swap to cu sidhe you might need disco jewelry it looks pretty much exact.

Yes cu sidhe's are  hard, but no problem, lots of jewelry out there with +disco

If i see someone who wants to train disco, i will forward him to this topic.

it is slightly different on evolution.  With the use of razor and the use of mobile forges tailor, blacksmithing, and cartography can be gained differently.
