Players always ask the staff, what is the best PVP weapon to build?  I always tell them to look at the top player's weapons or ask the PVPers...


If you have some good advice or can describe the best weapon template please post the info here!

Anything above a 4.0 second swing time is probably not going to be effective in PvP (unless you are doing something specific - even then I wouldn't recommend it.)


Anything below a 3.5 Second swing time can be great if points are spent properly (atleast 2 hit spells is important.)


Composite Bow is a great first PvP weapon and works effectively in field fights (moving shot), duels, and PvM(armor ignore).


Edit* Try to craft or find something that is completely elemental damage (zero physical damage) to avoid RPD - reflect physical damage in PvP.

What do you guys think of a bow (paralyzing / mortal) with triple slash added and 3 hit spells, lower attack, lower D? :)


The pickaxe was my 2nd choice (disarm and double hit), possibly with magma augments and maybe paralyzing fear?


What do yall think?


A good hybrid I think for the poor is a Yumi with dual shot / armor penetration it's quite versatile unless you're rich and want to really build a pvp only weapon (best pvm bow in my opinion).

Regular Bows are great. I used 1 for a long time. I believe they are .25 faster than a xbow(when capped) but the damage is less. if you are wanting to use the paralyzing effect make sure you don't have hit magic arrow or hit fireball on it. Those 2 spells are delayed hits and will break paralyze if they proc

Cant wait to start building PVP weps. Bows are defiantly looking like what i'll want to build.  Bolas used at all? or is there no delay to remount after being hit?
