RunUO is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), and is available for download from RunUO

RunUO is not in violation of Digital Millennium Copyright Act(DMCA)in the United States, the file formats were publicly posted before the DMCA took effect.

After extensive review and over 10 years of emulation, there has not been a lawsuit with regards to Ultima Online shard emulation.

RunUO is not a 3rd party software, nor does it violate the EULA.

The following issues, regarding emulation, in fact do not violate the EULA of Ultima Online.

1.Usage of client files or data
2.Interception of the data stream between the client and official EA shards
3.Reverse engineering of the executable or data files

Donation Disclaimer

UO Evolution Shard is a non-profit organization, directed by it's staff, supported by it's players and funded by it's donators. All donations will be used to pay server costs, update the content and upgrade the hardware.

Donations are non-refundable for any reason

Legal Notice: Donations are considered gifts to the shard and are not for any tangible items or merchandise. When you are donating to the shard you are giving money to support a hobby gaming site, not purchasing anything of value.

Donations to the shard are non-refundable and are not covered by Paypal's buyer protection.

Paypal User Agreement states:

13.3 Ineligible Items. PayPal Purchase Protection only applies to PayPal payments for certain tangible, physical goods. Payments for the following are not eligible for reimbursement under PayPal Purchase Protection:

• Intangible items, including Digital Goods
• Services
• Items equivalent to cash, including prepaid or gift cards
• Virtual Terminal Payments
• Personal Payments

"PayPal will generally not find in your favor if you escalate a Dispute to a Claim for an item which is not eligible for PayPal Purchase Protection."

No Access

IF YOU ARE IN ANY WAY RELATED TO ANY GOVERNMENT, ANY ANTI-PIRACY GROUPS, ELECTRONIC ARTS OR ORIGIN, YOU CANNOT ENTER THIS WEB SITE OR ACCESS ANY OF ITS FILES.

Loss of EA Account

If you log on our shard, EA may ban or delete your official Ultima Online account

RunUO is not an approved third-party program, and using it with the Ultima Online client is a violation of the EA End User License Agreement (EULA.) Electronic Arts may revoke your account if they suspect the owner has used a non-approved third-party application. Account revocation does not affect the ability to connect to third-party shards.

Loss of UOE Account

Accounts are the property of the shard. Player's accounts may be suspended, banned or deleted for violation of the rules. Players may not sell their accounts

Chargeback

If a player donates to the shard, and then initiates a chargeback for any reason, the account will be immediately banned/deleted and will not be allowed to play again.
