Hey guys, new to the shard but recently donated for a stack of ED, looking to buy a nice dexer suit and from reading the forums I believe I am after the following....

captian johns hat
necklace of genesis
chest of the magi
green tunic
arms of the magi
antiquity
pirate pants.
soul walker
cloak of the magi
shroud of the magi
ring with swords (+10 or more)
bracelet with swords (+ 10 or more)
fancy shirt with swords
kilt with swords
talisman of the moon

Any changes or suggestions are also welcome :)

Please reply here or PM Jarlaxle ingame (I'm on Australian time zone but can arrange to be on at suitable times to trade)

Well if you're gonna be a dexxer exclusively, I'd replace a few pieces. The robe, cloak, arms, gloves, and legs of Kas are better suited. If you are gonna be switching it up though, then what you chose is fine. It's almost exactly what I use. Not gonna lie though, I'm not a big fan of the pirate pants, I'm not even sure they can be socketed. generally speaking clothing cannot be, which brings me to my next topic. The pharoah's sandals. I have a pair of them myself but they are not optimal. the boots of the Soul Walker are essentially the same thing except that they can be socketed whereas the pharoah's sandals cannot be. You can socket parry easily enough, I'd also consider socketing anatomy since it gives a damage and healing boost. Any pieces of gear that are non medable can be made so by applying mage armor to it via ED. Of course you can alter all this depending on your wants and needs. The Kas armor is on display at the museum if you need to reference it.  Custom Areas > Museum. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'm unfamiliar with many of the items in this list tho I think the mage pieces may be for the LRC to avoid tithing/necro regs... I'll most likely go for soul walkers, I didn't even know about socketing hehe. I've searched just about all the vendors listed at the moongate but am yet to find any of these items for sale :(

Ahh ofcourse, earrings!
I'm not familiar with all of the items on this server, I can't find all of the ones on this list at the museum either so I'm not sure which leggings are the quest ones? where does the quest start?
As for the Apron I have a tangle already unless there's something better for a dexer?

I find that a tangle works just fine. You'll want some casting benefits for chivalry and necro spells. If you go sampire 100%  I'd recommend keeping your Karma up and using close wounds along with your bandages. With casting speeds being what they are you'll get amazing results.

As for earrings nothing beats Nystul's Earings. Some people may argue that, but I haven't seen a more powerful item for that slot.

I believe the quest legs he is talking about are either the Astro Daemon Bone legs (which I use, modified with mage armor) or maybe the Titan legs (also nice). Speaking in terms of dexxer only though I'd use the Legs of the Royal Guard. They have +10 swords and +5 tactics on them. Thats hard to beat.

Note on sockets: Items with socketed skills can only have 5 skills on them at a time ie. You could add anatomy to the Royal Guard so that they are +10 swords +5 tactics and +1 anatomy x3 but not +1 anatomy x5. Even though the sockets would be available, you'd gain no benefit from adding more anatomy in this situation. It has to do with an items maximum # of skill modifiers (which is 5). To better clear this up, 5 anatomy sockets shows up as anatomy +1, 5 times. Not +5 anatomy. So keep that in mind when picking sockets.

Useful tip: I'd hold off on socketing at first. There has been talk of a hard skill cap. As that is still up in the air, I'd hold off on raising skills too high. If parry gets capped at 200, you don't wanna be that guy with 300 parry. Bide your time. Trust me on this.

Oh and as for lrc, you can add that to clothing and whatnot through use of ED. So I wouldn't worry about lrc too much. You can also add luck ;) useful for an honoring samurai.

Thanks for all the tips! I was thinking of replacing antiquity with gloves of kas for more DI. I'm still looking for someone selling soul walker boots/royal guard legs/genesis neck/nystul's earrings...
