Hey there, I have been playing Evolution for a month now and all I can say is this is the best UO freeshard I have played on by far. One thing I have noticed though, is that the wiki does not cover most of the great content of this shard. I feel that it often results in players holding on some info when asked in chat. That also results in players selling items incredibly easy to obtain at insane prices. Granted that half the fun in UO is exploring and solving problems, I think that it would be good to give new players a guide to some easyer quests which gives rewards very valuable for the newcomer. I will start here today with the Hare Krishna quest.
The quest giver is Lord Achiles, he resisdes in the quest castle that you can find at any public moongate: customs-->Quest Castle. note that starting there is mostly for role playing as it is not mandatory to receive the quest before completing it.
Basically, you are looking to kill lord Krishna, a cow heavily guarded by his numerous human folllowers. The spawn is located just a screen or two N-W of the moonglow zoo. There is a rune to that spawn in Cove librairy, but if you are new to the game, you might want to walk there from Moonglow bank, because recalling with the Cove librairy rune will teleport you right in the middle of all the mobs wich will instantly auto target you.
Once you killed Lord Krishna (the cow!), open the body. It may contain the special rose that is the key to this quest. Personally, I have found that the special rose drops approximately 50% of the time, but my sample is pretty small and I may or may not have been lucky.
Now, if you have been lucky, the next step is to go back to the quest castle and drop the special rose on Lord Achilles. He will give you in return an extremely valuable item, the Hare Krishna sash:
Personally, it takes me less than a minute to complete this quest, so say two minutes of gametime (he does take quite sometime to respawn though) and I get this item. Seeing it on vendors for more than 500k sometimes (the price I payed mine in my first days iirc), I find it "uncool" to keep this a secret and charge new players the big price.
I hope this helps, if I feel that this post is helpfull, I will follow with an other easy quest that you should know about!
