UO Evolution Server Upgrades and New ISP

UO Evolution will be moving the servers to a new ISP and to a state-of-the-art server room.  We will be also adding significant server upgrades to accommodate the increase in bandwidth and our population explosion

Most players should not even notice any disruption, but if you do, it will be short.

We will be doing the move in the next few weeks!

READ THIS!

Change your automatic settings in UO Razor and UO Steam
Make sure you are logging in with our domain name rather than our IP address.

For example GOOD>>> play.uoevolution.com port 2593
For example BAD>>> IP 10.25.78.100

We will be changing IP addresses with the new move and you will not be able to connect with the old IP address info

After the downtime yesterday, I got extremely motivated to move the server to a new ISP.  We needed to move anyways since the population has doubled over the last year, but this incident made this a priority.  I have picked out some expensive upgrades that should significantly improve the speed and save times along with having a 24/7 tech support team.  I was waiting to save up some donation money, but this became too critical for me to wait.  If anyone was planning on donating, this would be a great time to pitch in.


We are going to do the upgrade asap so make sure you are logging in with play.uoevolution.com and not the current IP

I Just ordered our new server today!  We will move content and test for a few days and then announce when we will go live.


The new server specs are:


Haswell Duel Hexa-core (24 Virtual Cores)
2 x Intel E5-2620 v3 Hexa-Core Haswell Xeon
2.4 ghz turbo hyperthreading to 2.7 ghz
64 Ram
960 SSD
100TB Bandwidth

At least in this game all our characters and items move with us.  I remember after 4 server moves in Warhammer Online how much stuff we lost.

Again, Dante never ceases to amaze me. Well done sir. Most, if not all, shard owners would just live with the same old crappy service.
