Update 13
and also Update 14 for fixes to Update 13 and other misc things...

Golem Crafting:

  • Pet Level: Added BaseGolem to the "No Breed" list
  • Iron Golem: Max level now determined by the skill of the tinkerer up to the max of 30.
  • Iron Clockwork Assembly added to the tinker toolkit craft menu under Custom
  • (Requires 100 skill minimum, 1 Clock Part, 1 Spring, 25 Iron Ingots and 5 Blackrock)
  • Craft Iron Golem: Double click the Iron Clockwork Assembly to craft an Iron Golem (read the wiki for materials needed)
  • Iron Golem: New commands are "Start Mining" and "Stop Mining"
  • (Requires a normal shovel in the Iron Golem's backpack before it can mine)

Peerless Updates:
  • Completely recoded the Peerless System
  • Peerless Region created: Some spells will not work, this also means Druid spells.
Travesty:
  • Travesty Keys: All old keys are useless and all new keys will expire over time.
  • Travesty will now spawn if you gather the three needed keys and then double click the table.
  • If you have everything you will be given a Peerless Key, this key will be good for 24 hours.
  • Double click the Peerless Key and if room is available you will be teleported there.
  • You will have 30 minutes to defeat the Peerless Boss and then 10 minutes to loot.
  • If either duration is exceeded you will be ejected from the room and returned to the place you left from.
Medusa:
  • Handles summoned creatures better.
General Improvements:
  • Resolved a few balancing issues
  • Pop/Population Command: Removed from Player Access
  • BaseCreature: Expanded the Teleport with Pet functionality.
  • BaseCreature: The ability to increase stats based on party size.
  • Special Fishing Nets: Tweaked the water validation code, should be more appealing to water house owners.
  • Treasure Maps: They now have a chance to drop Magic Cloth Deeds, Level Deeds and Socket Deeds.
  • Creature Backpacks: Added the ability for a creature to have a Bag of Holding type backpack.
  • Runic Tools: Donation Level items (these do not go into keys)
  • Armor of Kas added for testing (Dex based suit by Tiea)
  • Archery Butte Addon: Due to how arrows were removed as a resource this was causing an exception
  • Pet Level: Fixed some display text issues, no longer will refer to the pet name as a number.
Other Improvements:

Shard Tools:
  • Improved the error checking
  • Commands to help test the BoD system
  • Addon Generator added into Staff tools
Champ Spawns:
  • Currently any Champ can drop any Powerscroll, Crafting Powerscroll or Level Deed.
  • Champion NOW drop more random scrolls. (Magic Cloth and Socket Scrolls are coming)
  • Mini Champ System: These can be found in Ter-Mur. Check the wiki for more information.

Is it just the T maps from fel that drop those deeds? or will the Tram maps also have a chance?
Any Tmap in any facet drops the new loot

Creatures now have a chance to have a Bag of Holding type back pack.. is that a lootable or just means they can hold larger weights?

Means they can hold more.

The most we can really say is the more difficult the Treasure Map, the more chance it'll appear. I know Luck plays a big part of it too.

Did you have the skills to control it? did you feed it ore?

Where do you get the book that the wiki says you need?
The book will be for the advanced golem crafting, it's not in game atm and not used to make the basic golem

Looks like you have to have animal taming and lore to keep them happy while controlling them.
Mining gains seem to be a little slow.
Doesn't let you know if mining spot is out of ore.
Slow in mining.
Have to buy a bag of holding to make the higher golems due to amount of resources needed.
Doesn't auto smelt, has to be dragged out and dropped on to smelt.
While walking iron beetles use to change color to let you know if there is ore. Golems you have to walk a step-open backpack-no ore, repeat. if there is ore keep doing smelting process until spot is empty.

Works nicely as a portable forge.[/size][size=78%] [/size]


Rough estimate on current vendor prices for materials. Bronze = 150000, Iron = 45000, various mats.
200,000 for a portable 3slot forge

Geeze you plan on selling dirt cheap, what about the 5 blackrocks needed? What about the fact that you need 240 tinkering to make those, gear isn't cheap or even easy to come by, its gotta be taken into consideration when setting a price!

Thanks for the feedback. Gotta remember too, this is only the PROTOTYPE/FIRST Golem released out of a nice series of them. We have plans for each Golem to be unique, so what one Golem might be bad at, a different material one might be an expert at. The more feedback, the better =)


240 tinkering? What can you do to increase past 100?

There are also rumors of an armor set that has Tinkering bonuses on it.... Soon

No Thorgal it was my fault. I forgot to add in the 5 blackrock when I broke down for him on what it cost me to craft that thing.

Now I'll be honest from a resource seeking player.

As neat as this idea is.  And as much as I thought the beetles were just cute to have..
These mining pets are pointless.  Its more work and takes much more time to use them then there is any benefit.  We have portable forges. So the pet mining and smelting is neat. But makes things even harder. Its just has easy to use a portable forge then it is to babysit a pet. You have to watch him  to make sure he isn't going over weight, or is he even mining, and is he happy.

I understand its a prototype. But unless the major ore pets have some massive benefit. I see these only being vanity pets and or for those who want to sit and babysit a pet when resource gathering is already so so boring.
Yes this is just an easily crafted, base golem and is being tested.  We are planning to make advanced golems out of the other metals, choose AI, resists, special abilities, special defenses all based on the material types and owner that controls it.  We will also be adding sockets and special augments that will enhance the golems, really cool system coming
 
The rare ore ones would need to be able to use a garg pickaxe and be able to kill the ele that it summons. That would be the only benefit I can see. Or that these guys bump the ore type 1-2 times.  Then maybe I can see using them sometimes. 

Other than that. I really see no reason to make one and use it.

Just my open and honest point of view.  I hope others will say what they like and what benefits these pets give them.  Maybe there is something I am missing.

There are already augments in the works for Golems, each golem will have several augments focused on its feature.  For the Iron Golem there will be one that lets it mine double the resources from a spot and some that increase it's mining skill.   We can even take your idea for the garg pickaxe and make an augment that allows it to use them. 

As you said, prototype ;)

Now almost all champs drop lvl deeds, and getting like 30 lvls per champ .. i think is too much

I just did a Mephtis in fel and got 2 level deeds , no powerscrolls or anything else. something is whacky!
read the updates, the champs now drop many random rewards, powerescrolls, level deeds, magic cloth etc

Yeah, I am not sure how I want to handle that.. increase time or drop rate of that key.. I will make it a point to look at that between today and tomorrow so I can do something before the friday update

Yeah, about those Travesty Keys... lol, I agree, this is definitely a problem.


Both the Yellow ones and the Blue ones, but even more so it seems, the Blue Keys from the Master Thieves.
I think that you should just increase the number of Black Order Master Thieves.


Right now, the room only spawns one thief per like every 10 minutes or so, possibly longer, and only on a very rare occasion is one of them the "Master Thief".


The Grand Mages have about 6 or so spawn locations throughout the dungeon, yielding plenty of Red Keys, but the High Executioner and the Master Thief only have one location and their spawn timer is very slow...


I've played elsewhere that the "thief room" spawned like 6 "regular thieves" and one Master Thief all at once, isnt that the way it's supposed to be? Same for the High Executioner room.

I dont mean to push the issue if youre busy and all, but i didnt notice anything mentioned about tweaking these keys' drop rates in the following fridays update from june of 2014, or anything since then about this subject. did i just not see it, or was it forgotten about, or? i mean, the spawn rates for those guys are just really, really slow, especially compared to the grand mages.
in fact, im sitting down there now with:
0 Yellow
1 Blue
10 Red
keys. lol...
been at it for about at least 3 hours now : /
lol, i know its probably not the most important thing going on, so im not trying to rush anyone to make any decisions or anything, but it would be cool to know if its not going to change so i can find a better use of my time ;)

cool, thanks for looking into it when you get a chance. and dont get me wrong, i didnt mean to make it sound like im telling you that you have to change their timers or anything, i was merely suggesting that would be a great way to make the dungeon more useful ; ) Im Blackhawk by the way, sorry i didnt mention that. i can go clear the dungeon out in about 5 minutes anytime you want to see it though, just let me know

Yeah that's what I figured, it had been a while since this was discussed and I didnt notice anything since then, thought maybe it just was forgotten about. That's all I meant by bringing it back up : )
