Publish Notes:


- Removed PvP point ranking/tracking system and player mobile ranking display.
(you will no longer see your kills/deaths/rank - displayed on your character)


**We have plans to implement a newer and more elaborate PvP tracking system in the future.


- Removed all commands pertaining to the old PvP point tracking system.


- The Doom gauntlet monsters have yet again received a small buff.


- Doom scroll drop chance has been modified to scale 100% off of luck, the luck cap for doom is now 3,000 - if you have 3,000 luck your drop chance increases by up to 10% on top of the base drop chance for scrolls AND artifacts.


- Created a brand new AI system plugin (kyn core AI) for some of our hybrid spell casting monsters.


** Custom Mobiles (monsters) with hybrid skills such as magery and necromancy can now combine their spells and will chain them to maximize damage output.


** The new AI system allows for monsters to better coordinate as a group against players.


** Monsters will now focus on staying alive and causing damage/hinderance upon enemies. (in that order)


** Monsters with the new AI will act more realistically in combat situations, they will navigate properly around walls and obstacles and have much better pathing than the before.


*** You will be able to demo and experience the new AI system by participating in the new Dungeon: "Dante's Inferno" We will be releasing level 1 of this dungeon shortly after this publish goes live.


- Made multiple server optimizations, updated to a newer more vibrant version of Kyn Core precompiler. This should keep the shard save times extremely low and allow for a much smoother and stable latency.


- added AssistUO packet support, this should make gameplay on the AUO client event smoother during interactions with gump menus and other object orientated things on the server.


- The Parry skill has been adjusted as such: (PvP ONLY)


** The chance to parry has been reduced globally by 5% against one handed melee attacks.


** The chance to parry has been reduced globally by 10% against two handed melee attacks.




ADDED: June 26th, 2013


- Pet potions have had their base stat/resist bonus increased by 3-5 each.

As of right now the new AI will be limited to custom monsters we create and have added to the new dungeon. It should prove to be a difficult challenge and a unique UO PvM experience.

Doom scrolls:


When I logged on the morning of the 22nd the Doom scroll drop rate was very good.  I was seening 1-3 mobs dropping scrolls per lap around the gauntlet.  I logged on the mroning of the 23rd and the mobs were harder and in about 5 laps around the gauntlet I have seen one mob drop 2 scrolls and one mob drop 5 scrolls.


Am I just unlucky on the drop rate?


I know this is a very small sample size but it was a very distinct difference between the two days.

likely because the luck ceiling was increased to 3,000 and now the drop rate is determined entirely by luck on your suit. No luck means VERY VERY little drops. High luck means more drops... the max being 3,000.

ahh ok,


I have 945 luck on my suit and I honor each mob and am at max perfection when the mob dies.  If I get the luck boost from perfection (135 bushido) that is 1350+945=2295 luck on the kills.


I will do some more kills in there and see how it goes.

Also luck is capped at 1000 using the perfection system :).

The release note said that at 3000 luck it only added 10% to the chance at a doom scroll drop. So should not be that noticeable.
