Good afternoon guys! Kane and I have been discussing some of the things I have been working on and decided the best way to make sure everyone is informed is to begin posting Content updates. This makes me accountable and helps track any changes I am making. So I will be doing these regularly (Possibly weekly-depending on how much I get done throughout the week).

Suggestions, comments and ideas are always welcomed. There are a lot of improvements we can do without needing 'code' updates. There are also some things that require elements from Kane to complete so be patient- Yes, I have a list too

Please keep in mind, there is a learning curve. I MAY make mistakes (Remember the gate reorganization on a busy Saturday afternoon!) So, if you pick up something you think is an error, please by all means, page or pm me in game,  or on here, or just grab me in teamspeak. Any of you that know me, know I am always (time permitting) available to chat with players about their game or ideas :)


Stealable Content Added:

  • New stealables added in Felucca and Trammel Dungeons: Shame, Deceit, Despise, Destard & Hythloth
  • New Stealable added in Malas Dungeon Doom
  • New Stealables added in Ilshenar Dungeons Ankh, Blood & Exodus
  • New Stealable Shop Container Items added in Trammel Moonglow Mage shop, Jhelom Provisioner, Britian Provisioner, Buccaneer's Den Bank, Felucca Red City Bank, & Red City Provisioner
  • New stealable Blacksmith Container Items added in Trammel Buccanners Den Blacksmith Shop and Britian Blacksmith Shop

Vendor Stone Updates:
  • Vendor stones updated: Haven New Player Gold Stone, Minoc Tools Stone, Library Gold Vendor, Red City Token Stone, Savage Camp Honey Stone, Savage Camp Slum Gum Stone,Wine Token Stone, Wine ED Stone, Shipwright Shop Token Vendor, Shipwright Shop Fish vendor, Halloween ED Stone (moved to Umbra), Aquarium Shop Gold Vendor, Aquarium Shop ED Vendor
  • Vendor Stones Added: Shipwright Shop ED Vendor, Flower Shop Red Leaves, Flower Shop Orange Petals, Flower Shop Green Thorns, Aquarium Shop Fish Vendor, New Dungeon Supply Stone, Library ED Vendor

Speaking of gates , I noticed yesterday that Tram Brit Castle (New Player Castle) wasn't listed under the new player section of the gate menu. It's listed under castle vendors in other section, but it's still a good consolidated places for newbies. :)

I think this is a great idea Domino! It'll be nice to get more then just the major coding updates that way we have a better idea of what your putting into the game on a regular basis. Thanks for doing this!

Okay added the castle vendors to the NEW player gate as well :)

Domino,

Is there only one new stealable per dungeon/location? And also, is there a way to add some sort of tag so that it would indicate where it was stolen from?

I am not sure about adding a tag. I do know we will soon have more flexibility and the ablity to create new artifacts on the fly.

As for adding more than one per dungeon, I have been going through the list and trying to add something to each dungeon, then I will cycle back. There is no method to my madness ( some are in Fel some Tram, some both) I can think of one dungeon where there are two added. If you go through the content update list and see a dungeon there twice, that means two stealables were added...however I won't say when I add a dungeon to my list if I placed one stealable there or more- I want for you guys...that thrill of discovery when you find something new!

  If not a tag, how about a certain weight... or artifact rarity? Other then that I agree, finding out on the fly what can be stolen is the most fun.

There is the ability to add the "Artifact Rarity" tag.

Yes, we are doing that now. I updated all the stealables, which I previously added to have an artifact rarity. The Rarity is based on a combination of, spawn time, stealing requirement and weight.

  Care to elaborate more... I almost got it...  huh?   

  No matter, the new stealables are fun; even if i did need to get all my stealing gear out.    [154.3 total]
