How do I inspire guilds/players to plan Player-run events?


Do events make you log in and participate? 


Do you specifically plan time to come to events?

I personally have loved the Destard bunny invasion thing that Kane has done the past two days. There are daily town invasions and champ spawns that are great, but for the players that are geared up there is little challenge in those. The Destard events were bloody and brutal and challenging and I love it. Sure there will be some that cry about dying too much but difficulty = excitement. I know the rabbits were an Easter event and it will be going away but maybe something similar could come around from time to time. I also really enjoyed Hunger Games, level playing field for pvp is a great thing. I unfortunately lack the imagination for any new event ideas so I will leave that to someone else but I think by and large people like events and will flock to them if they know they are coming. I know I stuck around longer than intended yesterday because Kane had promised an evening round of easter bunnies. Scavenger hunts also used to be popular on my last shard. I'll post more thought if I come up with any but my number one suggestion would be to just tell Kane to be menacing and see what he can come up with(within reason). And I know some will shun me for saying that, but brutal can be fun. 


Yes I plan on making Hunger Games and Naked fistfights regular weekly events again.  I do the daily champs and invasion for the newer players to get used to champ spawns and to make friends.  Kane will make events similar to the Easter Egg hunt each holiday.  This next month we do have Mother's Day and a new holiday called Armageddon Day, cross your fingers:)
