Special Auction and house drops June 29th

This will be the last special auction, then we will resume our normal schedule again.

We will be doing an auction with lots of deco and houses for sale.  We have repoed many old custom propertied that were set to drop and will give everyone an opportunity to bid on these properties at auction, before the house drops

After the auction we will do house drops.  It looks like there are around 2000 accts ready to be deleted so it should be a big day for everyone.

We will do the drops in phases, I will start dropping 100 or so an hour and make some events out of some of the bigger properties.

Start hunting and marking houses that are likely to fall!

This is the last warning to reclaim your old accts or refresh your houses before the big event!

See you all next Sunday at noon pst!

How do the house drops work?


Do you simply turn houses to IDOC and let them fall and we got to find them? Or do you make a gate to a house and drop it and make it a free for all?
Also not saying I could attend either way but thinking of others, will there be other times to do House drops? I like this idea and would be up for grabbing some nice items, but by the time the Auction finishes on a Sunday it is getting late for European players and with work the next day can not really stay up to join the events etc.


Either way, I LOVE DECO :) So hope some nice ones drop with houses.

If it is a big house with lots of items they open a gate, the smaller houses they just drop and it's a run around looking for them. It's a good time.

I was going to throw an all day birthday bash on Sunday the 29th because it was also my birthday but I'll be working that day =( Maybe we can celebrate another day lol

Is the auction tomorrow just going to be deco and custom houses?  Also are the house auctions going to be gold or ED auctions or both?

I dont recall ever seing a custom house going for gold and yes, there will be more then just deco and houses, they always have gear, custom pets, rare items and maybe some mistery boxes.

On a side note, for the house drop, i do wish no gates would be made for everyone to jump in and raid these houses. I spend a fair ammount of time searching for these, kinda makes it pointless for me if the filled or big account houses are made available to all! Its like anything, you gotta put in the work for the big reward. Back on OSI idoc houses werent publicised, you had to find them but when you did, oh the joy!

I also believe it would cut down drasticaly on the hate and headaches they bring you guys, remember the last house drop event?

Silly question why do we not have decay turned on? I know its a free shard and everything but maybe a tweaked decay system for like 6months or something?

No it would not be more interesting if they all dropped at once. They decay far to fast and most all the items would be lost to decay. So I am with Jed in desiring a longer decay rate for house drops, though i am sure its not really feasible to actually do.
