This post is from after finally re-setting up a vendor after I had not had one for well over a year. After I load up my vendor with handcrafted lvl weps and some power scrolls I notice that the vendor cost is past 35k per day. Which made me today close down the vendor I had just opened because it is too costly.
I know where supposed to be pushing towards a player run economy but that is a bit difficult when you can only have a limited stock on your vendors. If you can only have a very small amount of high end items your vendor looks empty and people will pass it over, or you have a ton of basic items. Maybe its just me, but when I'm shopping the vendor areas, I'm more likely to buy something from a full vendor rather than a vendor with just two or three items.
Perhaps there could be a re-structure of the vendors as we move towards a full player run economy? Ideally I would love to be able to sell the crazy stock pile of lvl weps I have stored away, but when the vendor system takes the majority of the profit it's not worth while. Instead this leaves people almost having to use the global chat system to sell high end goods.
