So after spending the last few days getting bombarded with
"Sell Dooms pants", "Sell Pharoahs Sandles", "Buy EDs", and many other spams over and over again in [c and all within 5 minutes each time (all by the same 2 or 3 folks btw). It has occured to me that what Evo is truly missing is a [t. Now some will say that ok so then you just get to see those spams every 5 minutes in that channel, what good have you accomplished by making a new one. Well here is how you put a stop to that. Once a person uses [t for their message a count down is set on their channel use and they are not able to use that channel again for say 30 minutes. This will keep the level of spam down and definatly out of [c. Now if this were to be implemented however something would have to be done to those who do not use this channel to sell their wares in or advertise their vendors. So say if someone insists on using [c to get around the 30 minute timer they would lose all [c as well as [t chat privledges for an hour first offense, and increasing from there.
Yes I understand this is an MMO, and yes I understand you will get those spammers no matter what. If WoW taught me nothing else it's that spammers exsist and you have to ignore them and move on, but at the same time over and over and over again is just to much.
Please Dante you're our only hope! Save our [c from the Empire of the Evil Spammers.
