Let's face it, PvP is quite intimidating to both new and seasoned players of this shard, many would agree that this is a PvM shard, that allows for PvP in certain instances (much like OSI).  But if we could strip back the uber equipment, and give players the oppertunity to feel "equal", this may give those apprehencive about PvP a little more courage to step onto the battle field.


I proprose a "Gladiator" style event, where players enter the arena naked, no regs, no gear, no potions.  There could be a table set up with an offering of approved equipment (much like in the training elemental room), where players could arm themselves with thier choice of gear (or, for an added sense of chaos, the weapons, armor, and reg bags could be in the arena itself).  This could be either a team event (reds vs. blues) or even a chaotic "last man standing" style of fight.


With all the "defense chance increase", eval int stacking, and crazy amounts of life/mana/stamina leech removed, I think players not normally interested in PvP would be more apt to join in the fight, knowing that they've got the same chance as everyone else to show thier stuff, and come out on top.
Yes we do this style of event often, we do strip players down and do naked fist fights, last man standing and same armor/weapons and make it a skill based fight:)
