I was going to make a long winded post, but I decided to simplify it...

Is the wiki editable by the players? If not, why?

I overheard someone say that forum users have to be made by an admin because of spam issues in the past. I would suggest that the forum and wiki users be linked. Also, any changes made will have to be approved by staff or volunteer moderators. As a side note, I think the wiki keeps track of changes on a history tab (what changed, what user, and possibly why).

The reason why I bring this up if because I have found the wiki lacking and really wish there was a more accurate database of knowledge, items, and quests.

Any thoughts on this ?
As much as I would love to give players access, I have found it to be a disaster...griefers, spam bots and posts with misinformation are continually added at the rate of 1000's a day.  It's better to lock it down and have players email the info to me for editing, accuracy and importance
The wiki is mainly for our custom info and meant to be a starting point, not a spoiler.  Most shards dont even have a wiki, its a ton of work.  There are many links to official guides and tons of info about the game online already.  If you would like to add to the wiki, please write up a section and post it and ill add it the same day
