Though, this may always be the case, our current wiki is a project which remains in flux. As the editor of the UOE-Herald, and an on and off writer/updater of the wiki, I am trying my best to accomplish a goal of 90%UOE Wiki accuracy. I however, I am only one man. Do not get me wrong, many have lent a hand and wrote a how to guide or a quest summary, here and again. To them I say, "You are all awesome", want to write some more stuff?
Anyways, the patch logs are vague for a reason, in one aspect the logs are there to inform the Evolution community of what is going on with each patch, but more importantly the logs are cliff notes for Kane, so he can remember what he did before and after the fact.
With new content comes a surge of questions. The goblin content is no different. Last year there was a St. Patrick's day event which was similar to the current goblin content. Kane has revamped the old version and given us the current content, which I find rather enjoyable. What I know about the new content is: Look for goblins on all facets-- they are out there-- and pay attention for goblin power hours held in Destard Dungeon. Slay goblins and take their gold-- if you can-- to Serpents hold. Down a long hall--from the elemental training room-- is a large green stone, which works like a slot machine. Take your coins to it and have a whirl to potentially be rewarded with something neat.
The wiki and forums are always a good start for information, let us not forget however, that the google is always a good place to find information on Ultima Online content. Sure, the custom aspects are not always found there, but neither is the location of Jimmy Hoffa. *shrugs* Nothing is perfect, which leads me into my final point.
I cherish every argument, or debatable topic which is posted on the forums. That said, I also cherish the questions and factual points of interest, as well as the sometimes whimsical topics that are posted occasionally. Every thought has a purpose; so I'd like to leave the following thought:
--Imagine you have just reread an autobiography about a person you have found rather interesting. As a point of fact, it is-- by your own count-- the seventh time you have reread this particular autobiography, which is a thorough and detailed account in the eight-hundred page variety. A few days go by since the last rereading and a piece of mail, post marked with yesterdays date, catches your eye as you go through your daily habits. When opened, you find it is an invitation to spend a day with the person with whom you have just finished reading about recently-- for the eighth time by my count-- and a number by which to reach this persons secretary--
[Do you throw the invitation away, believing you know all there is about this person simply because of how many times you have read and reread about them. Or do you accept the opportunity, and by spending the day with this individual, learn for yourself who this person really is]
World chat + outdated wiki and forums page information = a reread book
Learning through experience = the invitation
UOE's secretary = Staff (but mostly Kane)

[ P.S. ] I believe you Ashalla, you were not complaining but were instead looking for help/answers from those of us willing to lend a hand. Though I'd like to point out, at least in my opinion, that starting off a forums post with "..I hope I do not come across as a complainer..." is a bad start. Just be honest, you are entitled to your opinions--especially on the forums-- why express what you do not wish to be? It confuses the reader, and makes us suspicious...
