Magical Cloth Deeds...

So yesterday I bought a magical cloth deed off a vendor and got a +2 begging shoes. We've all been there. It's the "you just got fucked" boobie prize. Is there any way we can get a gump to come up that would allow us to choose what catagory we'd like to get (Combat, Magical, Feral(animal related), Crafting, Gathering, Ect.) to cut down on the furstration of getting a complete garbage clothing piece? I know I'd be more willing to buy them off of tailors if I knew I'd be getting something worthwhile even if i couldn't directly use it but turn around and sell it. As it is right now there's no way I'd even consider buying another one which sort of defeats the purpose of having a player run economy. Just to make things clear I'm not suggesting a "buy one and you win" button but a simple way to give players SOME sort of control when using them - keep the same random intensity and make each catagory large enough to produce the chaos factor that keeps things interesting.

That would only diminish the value of the desirable ones on my opinion.
So instead of buying them, do champ, fill out tailoring bods, do some T-maps or even open a few treasure chest, those are all free.

What if you could combine like types, IE +2 mining and another +2 mining to create a random +4 mining, BUT! anything that totals over +5 has a chance to destroy the original 2 items leaving you with nothing. At +6 there would be a 10% chance of destruction, +7 25%, +8 50%, +9 70%, and +10 90%. You'd be able to negate this destruction by 5% intervals per 1 million gold you put into it. Or 5% per 10 ED. This would give people skills they need while still making the high end items obtainable but rare. It would also provide an economical counter balance to inflation. Just an idea. I also like the idea of lesser/regular/greater magical clothing deeds. That way you could effectively sell them better.

  @ Silver

+2 begging is not a boobie prize. Begging is needed to craft gold pans; the more begging you have the less likely you will fail at making the pans.  8)

I agree with Thorgal, though spainkevin has some interesting ideas as usual.

We must all keep in mind that new and fun things are going to be added each update. Kane is the man, and is looking over everything, to make it fun.

For any crafting, the success rate only functions off the primary skill. The secondary skills are just required minimums; they will not raise your success rate.
