It hasn't taken place yet. Had some technical issues that were/are being resolved. I don't believe a new date has been announced yet.

def appreciate the "hold" due to problems

but if they decide to do a house drop for all
I say give all heads up  be at Brit at set time
open a gate to a empty field  and litterly  drop the house on the ground
loot everywhere  free for all.
and this levels the house placement/loot fairness
considering some players have marked house drop locations.

the go find the houses  is ok but being 18 days new
others know the houses that are gonna drop. "kinda not right"
but. either way

good job admin.   better safe then sorry ...

Shard had a revert. If you see a house with stuff from 2012 its a 50/50 chance.

I hope this doesn't  happen..

Opening gates to house drops is lame. YOu need to do your own foot work to find the houses you think will drop.  Looking for the houses is all of the fun..

Having more and more GM'S  hands into the game makes things even more boring.  Do your own foot work. GM's opening gates to these locations is like them just dump things on the ground and saying "heyyy look I did the work for you so here is your freeee looootssss"
So NOT fun.

NO GATES! Or Put in IDOC.

Dante just updated the events saying July 20th will be the house drops after the auction.

I think what he is trying to say, I kind a of understand but not 100% agree.

If you are new to the server, regardless of if you see houses with items from 2012 in them, you do not know the shard well enough, nor the players to know if that is an active person or not. The longer a player has been here the more advantage they have in marking correct houses and locations.

On a side note, I think it would just be as easy to turn decay on and have it on 3months for example. As long as you refresh your house once every 90days it wont decay. It is more fun to actually find a IDOC than to run around like a lemon looking for a house a GM has dropped. When the houses started to drop last time I ran across 3 facets and had a couple people on TS doing the same and none of us found any houses, and yet some of the more experienced players knew where to look and were already looting.

Not disagreeing with the way it is done at all, my luck is horrible so I am not holding out hope, even if I have marked a few spots. That and the fact by the time houses drop I should be going to bed as I have to get up for work the next day and it is already almost midnight. The only thing I would say is it would be nice ot have a European house drop as well, not do them all on PST time.

+1 for IDOC. This method is fun, fair and enjoyable. I think a lot of us would have great memories of stumbling across a fallen house back in the day. Adrenaline kicks in because you don't want anyone else to come, so you are looting like a madman.

This is much fairer to players (ESPECIALLY casual players like myself that love this shard but can't attend a lot of events)

Seeming as 99% of houses are most likely in trammel I respectfully disagree with this. This will not be fair to everyone. Think of a casual player with not a lot of wealth or time to play:
1) Won't have the wealth to outbid multi millionaires on a wealthy house
2) High chance of not being available to log on for auction event (busy life/timezone difference)
3) Takes the excitement away, which is the whole point of IDOC

You need to think of what's fair to EVERY player and I believe tram IDOC is the answer.

Just delete them altogether then no one is "left out" due to play times.

I usually pick out about 10 really nice houses, full of items and make an event out of it for everyone to enjoy, so no one leaves empty handed.

I also randomly drop about 100 houses and hour throughout the day so the decay times are slower and players from all time zones have a chance to log in and get some loot.

Lastly, I have picked out some beautiful houses and will be placing them up for auction on the 20th of July

Hopefully this satisfies everyone and we can have an enjoyable day of  looting!
