Well, we have Tokuno released for the blackbelt system, so everyone is managing Beehives.
I finally hit 255 (max amount) on the honey quantity gump, so decided to clear it so the hives can produce more. Then is when I realized how expensive it is to make honey, which has only one purpose ingame: Spellweaver quest requires 10.
The tool required to remove from the hive costs 50k gold for 500 charges. then you need 1 empty bottles to make 1 "Jar of Honey". That's 105 g for 1 jar of honey! I try to sell it to NPCs, guess what, you cant. Other then a few cooking recipies, which you cant turn a profit on, honey is useless.
3 suggestions I have:
1. Make the tool needed to gather the honey ALOT cheaper, say 10g per use.
2. Add a context menu to the tool so we can select how many to make at 1 time (instead of 1 made per click, make it a selector like gold or other stackables), because this is a sure fire way of making players have carpel tunnel after just 1 hive.
3. Make it so we can SELL (but not buy) the jars back to NPCs, for cost +1 gold(at least).
These suggestions make honey turn a profit, but not a big enough profit for naughty ppl to use as an exploit, & cut down on the risk of personal injury as we try to have fun in UO.
I am aware that Kane has "plans", & when those are implemented, just make whatever it is cost 100-10,000 honey to purchase. I read something about some things were being bought using honey as the currency. If this is reimplemented, then it will encourage beekeepers & an open market on players vendors. It will help shift gold from those who "have" to those who "have not" etc.
Just some of my thoughts,
*hugs*

Also, I dont know if your aware, but the "resource" page doesnt close when you open another, so I can have all 23 hive "resource pages up at the same time. I throwing this out there, incase this is a possible issue for the server in some way.
