I was wondering if ever it was thought of, of a economy based vending system which is updated RT (real time) based on market prices on items. I came across a few shards that had systems such as this which seemed to work fairly well. Basically, its a system with all your common goods (i.e.-craft materials, organics, regs, EVO dollars etc) which are priced at the market value and fluctuates with the economy everyday depending on supply and demand. Now being as new as I am, I am not knowledgable in prices on items on this shard, however for explanation purposes lets say you want to buy ingots. You need 1000 iron ingots for whatever, instead of spamming for WTB ingots or running around from vendor to empty vendor you enter in a chat command to bring up the exchange gump. Look up iron enter in the quantity to buy for what ever the price is at that particular moment and buy. The items bought ends up in an acct of which you can withdraw to your bank without being at the bank. Its automatic placed in your bank after you withdraw it.

I do have this script, but I removed it because players had no reason to interact or go "shopping" at players shops or vendors anymore.  The gump showed everything available and prices dropped to the bare min when you can easily compare prices on a speadsheet.  It takes the fun out of the commerce

Now with that being said, its a fluctuating market, so one day and item may be priced to buy under NPC prices or over. This is how a economy based market works. With this system there is also an option to enter in ur OWN price to buy or sell or you can do the quick method of buy/sell based on what the market price is at that moment. For example, iron ingots are selling say....5g a piece at market value for direct buy, but say you want to try to get it cheaper (mind you it may take time to process till a seller is selling at lower price) all you do instead of the quick buy method, you enter in your own price/quantity set it and forget it till its processed. So instead of buying for 5g a piece, you might get lucky and buy for say 2g a piece saving you money. Vise versa for selling goods. It works out well because say someone is greedy and they want to sell iron ingots for say 200gold a piece well.....they wont get a buyer because the market value is set at 5g and unless everyone starts selling iron ingots at 200g then the market value wont change so that person thinking he's gonna get rich will be sorely disappointed. Cause no one is gonna buy something that is marked up 95% of the market price for common goods, right? Right.

I dunno if this made any sense, I tried explaining it the best I could, but I was just thinking bout it and wonderd if it was ever thought of. I know I saw forum threads bout economy and this came mind. Anyways, just an idea. Happy Hunting everyone  :D
