can you guys look into adding crafting recipes to the ED stone, or possibly create alternate quests that arent as tedious as the ones in heartwood. thanks!


I feel like this would expand the world of the crafting community.

None are hard to get it just takes patience.

yea they arent hard but if your looking for a specific one it can take forever. and i dont want that much arthritis in my hand.


the quest itself is easy. its just hard to do it 1000 times.


if you feel like farming me an "icy scimitar" recipe ill pay you well for it.

would be a good use for arti credits imo

Meta I think you are onto something, sure this might be a small community,; but asking others to help you out is the best practice, IMO.

I appreciate your opinion however i must disagree.

first off this change isnt to suit only me. it would benefit the entire crafting community and peerless boss hunters and gold panners.

ive been on this server for about 6 months and have never once seen a crafted artifact. my best guess as to why this giant chunk of the game is not put to use is because the quests to get the recipes are incredibly tedious and just not worth the time for how useful they are on Evo. this task is almost always done by AFK scripting which is not allowed on this server. (and please dont reference OSI and not allowing scripting either, cause OSI has been around for 15 years and the items crafted with recipes are 100x more valuable and useful on an OSI server than on a free server).

also keep in mind that just cause someone acquires the recipe doesnt mean they will be able to turn around and bust out 1000's of icy scimitars. they still require rare resources from peerless bosses and mining (or gold panning on evo).

basically i see this content of the game never being used as is it set up now.

i hope in time more people will understand where im coming from. i assure you this suggestion does not come from laziness. it just doesnt make logical sense to put  the time into it as it currently stands. therefore we are missing out on some signifigant content.

in the mean time if someone has spent the time on these quest and would like to sell me some recipes ill gladly purchase them from you.

if your wondering why i would even be interested in these items, its so i can use runic tools to craft them and have some what of a bonus over just crafting a base weapon. also since they are crafted they are levelable.


 

Just want to point out a distinction on the recipes: you can use runic tools to enhance magical craftables, but typically would not be able to enhance craftable artifacts.

In this way, crafters with Runic Tools could create weapons with more properties then usual, or produce intensities outside the ranges that were normally possible.

Note that Runic Tools cannot be used to further enhance craftable artifacts, and typically cannot be created Exceptionally.

Ahhh indeed. so with the presence of levelable weapons on Evo, craftable artifacts typically arent very useful?

basically this is what i am specifically after.

 i really like making levelable champ spawn radiant scimitars. i was thinking as i collect rare resources i can craft icy scimitar versions every so often for the 15% hit harm bonus.

sounds like im out of luck on the craftable artifacts but i may still have a chance with the icy scimitar as it is a magical craftable.

  I won't lie and say it didn't mean what I said. Changing it for you or the community, at this time, seems to only benefit you. 

 That being said, however, it may not be so bad a change after all; but first I'd rather try to help you accomplish what you wanted to in the first place. And that means I'll need to try, first hand, this tough quest that presses you so.

  Please help me with the name of the quest giver, or I can help you work on the quest. Perhaps with enough feedback from two voices, something might be changed to suit you, and the whole community.

  But I believe that the EVO staff is of the quality of character to need more then a request to change most things on this awesome free-shard. We are going to need a good case and point to add to that cause for this change.

almost all the NPC's in heartwood offer quests that result in crafting recipes. i am specifically after the icy scimitar recipe, which can be acquired from a metal weaver NPC in heartwood, but will be happy to take any others off you hands, with the exchange of gold of course .
