Well once again [c erupted with grievances about being pked at events last night as the group champ event came to a close.   And it got me thinking how could this be avoided, without excluding AoE weapons, pets and spells.  I understand that you can not have the group in Tram or on GM island due to the dropping of Power Scrolls, as they won't drop there.  However I have come up with what I think is a good solution for this.

I am restricting the players from attending the events in the future


Move the Group champ area to either GM island, or somewhere in Tram, such as the same location it is in now only Tram side.  Now before someone complains about OMG no power scrolls, I'll get to that.  These group champs are to large and have to many folks who don't get a thing out of them since some folks camp the top of the champ spawn with their pets out, while everyone else goes and clears out mobs to advance it, now normally this is not the best of solutions for those out there working their butts off as by the time they get back to the boss he is already dead and no chance for scrolls, even though they did a great majority of the work.  So how do we fix this?  Here's my thought. 


First, move the champs to tram or GM, then you do not have to worry about anyone going grey or being killed by someone else.
Second, add in a check location, and anyone within a certain radius of the champ would get a token when the champ dies.  This token could be spent at a new token stone which sells items that would normally come from a champ.  120, 115, 110, and 105 scrolls, Level deeds, Organics, Socket scrolls, and even more things such as Gargoyle tools, or Hue Room tickets, anything along those lines.  Now keep in mind my idea if that it would cost say 20 or more tokens to buy a 120 skull, so that way they aren't flooded after just one event.  If you kept these tokens as a trade able item you create another way for folks to expand our economy.
Now along those lines though, anyone who is stealthed, hiding or invisible in any way when boss dies would get zero tokens.  Don't want someone sitting and not helping, or add in the You can't hide here.  Make sure that the reach for the token check wouldn't extend out past where the mobs spawn, so if someone wants in on the loots they will help clear to the boss. 


Anyway just an idea to help keep the amount of stress of running one of these events to a minimum, while at the same time not excluding those of us with Champ axes and such. 


my two coppers take them for what it's worth.  I have faith that Kyn could implement something like this if it was decided that it's the way to go.

I do like this idea.  Currently I do not attend most events because the first double axe I am building up is a champ spawn axe with very high hit areas.  Your idea could also reduce some of the drama.

Yup that's what I'm hoping for here.  Hopefully this idea gets enough support to warrant a change.

Wow great ideas I love the fact that so many creative people play on this shard it is really refreshing thxs for your time in posting this.
