Many I have asked are not to fond of the change in the wither spell. It has come to many peoples attention that certain individuals have been caught and screenshoted being afk holding a hit life leech weapon killing certain monsters(this is not acceptable). People with taming have a great advantage of using the spell and pets in combination. Others that enjoy casting spells to kill monsters are now finding that an approximate three second delay time not including the spell fizzling being higher is becoming a burden in using the spell wither. The mana loss is fine. Many have not complained about it being a 60 mana drop use spell. The delay is a big problem though. The inability to use wither to kill monsters is going to affect many variables in the uo community. Prices of many items are going to increase. While this may seem like a good idea for some... others who have just started on this server will feel discouraged in continuing to play where they cannot progress. Catmodo is a player that just started and is already feeling the pressures of being a new player. My guildies and I supplied him with much needed items just the other night. Those items were acquired by being able to kill monsters using wither. Other methods will have to be used in order to gather new resources but quite frankly the motivation of gathering because of this change has destroyed a desire for pve. This means two things. One the prices will increase which will discourage a non progression server. Two the individuals who specializing in taking things from others instead of getting it themselves is going to increase. Murder in fel is hard enough already. Having members only pvping none stop because of the inability to do something else is a problem some of us for sea in the near future. If it isn't broken don't fix it right? Wither was not broken in my opinion and many others.
We tested it and it has been corrected and balanced to 1.40 now and seems to be at a good speed
