Can something be done about the stamina costs and regneration rates of bio pets?

I took my bio out hunting for a very short time and after i brought him back to my home out of combat he took 16 minutes to regen his stamina from empty to full. I was hoping some other method could be used to balance bios specials rather then making the one thing that separates them from other pets non existent after a couple of fights.

In addition my bio's aoe attacks make everything attack me and completely ignore my bio, while i was stealthed he damaged enemies with his attack but they completely ignored him. The moment i came out of stealth all those same enemies rush over and attack me.

I will be testing this tomorrow at some point.

I should note that i don't see carrying around tons of food and having to constantly feed your pet a solution.

i dont see a problem with it.. you want to keep your bio using its specials then there has to be a price to pay somewhere... otherwise its just too easy. thats just my opinion thou :)

if you have a bag of holding i would suggest just keeping the food in that.

I feel that there are better ways to balance the specials rather then having the pet burn it self out very quickly.  A internal cooldown on the abilities themselves similar to gift of renewal so that they can only be used every so many seconds is my best idea at the moment.

I don't see a lot of give and get with the bios, i would be happy to sacrifice some other aspect of the pet in order to increase it's stamina regen and improve it's actual functionality but that option is not available.

*update* Tested the food, no noticeable change in pet stamina.

Sort of on topic with Bios and specials.
-Can the actual specials be looked into to make sure they are working properly? I've noticed with some specials, when they are activated actually don't do anything or any damage. In particular is Ice Blast. I've seen my bio activate the special multiple times with no increased dmg to its current target, nor will the "ice spikes" deal aoe dmg to nearby mobs.
-Possibly remove the special "Call of Nature" as it is more of hazard than a special. Once the surrounding mobs are done attacking the bios current target they all turn on the bio causing some problems.
-Increase the dmg output of "Trial by Fire" the multi attacks will only hit for 5-10max dealing a total of around 30-40dmg which is a much lower dmg output than a bios normal attack, and just eats stam.

Wow glad I read this about the ice blast, was just about to finish up a bio with that as the special.
