Would it be possible to add pack instincts to bios, it a cost maybe to keep the balance with the rest of the pets.

The DNA that would be effected would be Mimic, Soo if you  mimic Deamons it has a chance (low chance) to get pact instinct of the Deamon. But have it soo its in place of say powermoves, soo bios are not too powerful.

Also if Bios Damage was spread out over the elements randomly. It would make the system far far more interesting. And no creature would be the same.
Nice suggestions, ty

I am not sure that I agree with the pack instincts but I would love to see Bio's having different elemental damage based on their mimic rather than just 100% physical. This would make choosing your mimic much more important than just the way the end result looks.

I have placed some code together that I think might work for damage diversity.  Hopefully in the coming week I will get a chance to show it to Kyn and we can decide if it 1) works and 2) if it is something we want to go forward with.

I make no promises as the bio pets can be very powerful for the slots the take.  I have seen some bio pets that are made right at all of the caps.

The code I have placed together would make the damage truly random.

I agree with Elmseeker, I think biopets could have varied attacks other than just physical. Also maybe add a special attack that is energy, all the others (physical, fire, cold and poison) are represented in either special attack or coiner attack.

Thanks guys for looking into this, if it can be implemented it will make bios very unique. With 1000s of combinations of skills + Damage types. Great work and thoughts from staff and players on this topic. Hope it comes to something fruitful. Sounds promising.

I will go ahead and state now that pulling the damage from a mimic will most likely not happen.  This would open up some serious exploit pets that I am sure we do not want to track down later.

Making bio's have TRUE random damage (base damage AND elemental) could be a double edged sword, but sounds REALLY fun!  It would be great if the value range would be shared, so we know what a max stat would be.

Sounds very interesting, and can't wait to test it out!

The base damage (the 18-26 max) will not be random.  What I envisioned (assuming it works) is instead of 100% of the damage going to physical the damage would be spread out upon pet creation.

I hope we can get  away from this 18-26 base damage, already seen drop in demand for luck items and the bio gear at the auctions. I was just looking at some pets and looking at comparisons. The old amount seemes perfect.

Agreed about the drop in demand for organics, one of the organic/brush/book combos did'nt even see an offer at Sunday's auction.
