I bought a Heritage Token for 250k tokens at the Trin stone and picked the ferret form tali (the only one that could really be useful). It will turn you into a ferret but doesn't give the skill bonus that's supposed to go along with it. I have no idea if the other Fey talis are working as intended or not. :)

I'd like to amend this by saying that today I equipped a monster-looted talisman with a carpentry bonus and it didn't *appear* to be giving me any extra skill - my numbers didn't change - but when I went to a crafting menu, my percentage chance for success had definitely changed. So it's possible that the same thing is happening with the Tali of the Fey (ferret) but I currently have no way of knowing one way or the other. I'm trying to set up a scenario where I can test this out myself. Shouldn't take too long and I'll post back with the results.

The crafting talisman only increase the chance of success not the actual skill, either normal/exceptional or only normal or exceptional.  They are great for leveling crafting btw, use them to increase the chance of success high enough to make something cheaper sooner and then remove it to be able to craft that item longer.

The Talisman of the Fey should increase Stealing by +10, look at your skills in the ferret form to verify it actually increases the skill rating.

There's no visible skill change when you use the Fey Talisman and since my character was already at 120 Stealing there was no way for me to test whether it gave an "invisible" skill bonus to stealing or not. Oddly, no matter how high you raise your Stealing skill there's still a hard cap on what you can attempt to steal of 10 stones. Once you pass GM skill it doesn't follow the same logic of 10 points of skill = 1 extra stone weight.

*Edited* Last night I macroed up enough Ninjitsu on at alt character to use the tali and try it out on him. He has 0 Stealing skill. When I had him equip the talisman and turn into a ferret, I got the skill bonus notification "Your skill in Stealing has increased by 10.0%". Tried it again on my main and still nothing. So in the end, it's working right for chars with low stealing skill but not for high stealing. Either it's not giving the +10 skill bonus past 120 or it is but it's not displaying that it is. There's no way for me to know which.

+1 to Harper for figuring all this out.

Kane told me on team speak he has a giant list of things to do, either this situation is on that list, or when he gets around to reading about this forum post; I'm sure he will look into it or add it to that list.

You are suppose to get a visible bonus, maybe it doesnt work past 120 although I feel like I remember when I put mine on I got the bonus when I was in ferret form but it doesnt allow you steal in ferret form either. Which you are suppose to be able to steal in ferret form. It has a nice advantage if approaching from the north.
