Hi gm's.

yesterday I decided to raise my stealth to 120, I went and bought a 120PS and ate it. and started training my stealth up, only to find that I cannot train Stealth passed 110.0 naturally. I have PM'd Dante about this and he responded in a timely manner (as always, and thank you for that), but the information he gave me is incorrect. I have looked on the wiki (which is wrong) and searched all over google for answers from various servers concerning this and all the info is the same as what's posted on our wiki.

I have tried steallthing in Studded Leather + close helm/Full ringmail/Full Chainmail/Full platemail/and every variation of armor I could find info about. I have also tried filling my bag to the max weight limit and stealthing. inside guard zones, outside guard zones. trammel/felluca. infront of many players, infront of many npcs. and I never fail.

Wearing a full platemail set with my bag full to the brim @ 110.0 skill, I can never fail at stealthing. that being the heaviest armor possible ingame, if I can never fail than I can never gain.

It seems now that the only way to raise my skill passed 110.0 is to use scroll of transcendence(which I found 1, and now have real skill @ 110.6).

The servers stealth code needs to be looked at and re-adjusted, in all my time playing UO (Since powerscrolls became available) I have never came across a server (OSI or Private) where its possible to stealth 100% in full platemail even at 120 real skill (it shouldn't even be possible).

I would love if a GM could look into this, and if needs be I would also love to help testing, but somethings gotta give, 120 stealth is not custom at all and stealth should operate the same across all servers, only meaning that the original code should never have been altered, but for some reason it has been altered to make stealthing easier, which should not even be an issue almost anywhere with all the custom arties that allow you to gain almost max attributes across the board without ever donning a piece of armor that is not leather or mage armor.

P.S.
I have also been shouting ingame since I capped out at 110, for any player that has 120 (real) stealth to pm me, and no one does. and Dante also told me to ask other players.

At the risk of sounding rude (trust me not my intention so please don't take it that way) but did u read my post Dante? Yes I have read the Wiki, I have read stratics, I have read UOguide, I have read your replies to me ingame, aswell as talking to as many players as possible, and im telling you the skill is broken and not functioning correctly, as you are the GM/shard owner and I challenge you to try it yourself instead of telling me over and over what to read when ive read it all plus many other sources. set your skill at 110.0 and try all those methods yourself and see that its broken.

with that being said there is only 2 possible ways right now to gain in stealth passed 110.0.
1. Scroll of Transcendence
2. Satyr Trick (which depending who you talk to, could be construed as using an exploit), which is what I am doing right now and its painfully slow and tedious.


3. You can also use a skillball

I will look into this, just never had a complaint in 4 years.  There must be a way, i just directed you to all the obvious places that had some info.  I will also ask around and see how the other players have accomplished this

It's an old topic but for anyone searching the forums, trying to raise stealth past 110... I'll share my experiences.


I am currently at 115 stealth. I read the wiki page, stratics, uoguide, and other forums, and then asked in game when I hit that wall. It was Frank Black (THANK YOU!!) who informed me that Stealth was broken and that the only way to raise it was to use bone armor (farm any graveyard). Start by adding one piece and use stealth. If you don't gain... add another piece. Continue to add until you start to gain again. This raised me to 115 but I was told in chat that it will take you to 120.


Hope that helps anyone on the forums trying to naturally raise stealth. I didn't find this information listed anywhere else.
