On the wiki it claims in one section that the level for the baby is determined by adding the mother and father together and dividing by 2. However in the very next paragraph it states "The formula for levels is mother's current level + father's current level / 2 + (1,2, or 3) = baby. For example 2 level 30 parents will make a level 31, 32 or 33 pet." Which makes more sense. However after breeding two level 30 Firesteeds together, the baby that was produced is also max level 30. So I guess it needs to be clarified which formula the breeding follows. If it's the first as seems to be the case, then breeding is pointless as there'd never be any improvement.

Secondly, it added a generation to the mother which again makes no sense. The parent should still be its original generation, it's the child that should be +1 to generation.
Yes, sorry I need to update the wiki info since we implemented the new breeder system

This is the current way that pet breeding works on Evolution.  The information in the animal taming page of the wiki about breeding is old information and does not reflect the way breeding is currently set up to work.

As for everything getting its generation +1.  This is a change that Kyn and I decided on after a lot of thought.  We did this to prevent 1 set of parents from endlessly creating babies (classic "puppy mill").
