i'm a motorcycle nut. I love riding them, abusing them and taking them right to the edge of the tires
For the last 5 years i'm riding a mean machine, that's suited for the city i live in. I've driven allot of brands large and small, but my current bike is the one i enjoyed the most.
This bike is a Suzuki DRZ-400 SM (400cc 4stroke). It's what they call a Supermoto (type of bike). The driving style is somewhat mixed between on- and off-road. It performs great on asphalt (with the right tyres), and is great fun on sandy rough terrain. Can take a minor jump but you got to know the bike to land it.
It's got a big bore kit, and pretty much every upgrade i could possibly make, which brings its total horsepower to around 67pk (measured). Factory defaults are 40-ish.
The madness on this thing is the torque. Supermoto bikes are the fastest factory made accelerators on the planet (street legal) and i can testify to that
Only one car has ever won from me in a sprint, and that was a tuned ferrari with an insane driver. Mind you after ten seconds any sports car will drive faster, cause the bike isn't made to drive fast in high gear.
Fastest i squized out of it was 170km /hour but that was mad and utterly insane. It's a sit-up-straight bike with no plastic covers anywhere so the wind crashes straight onto your body. From 100km/hour and up the pounding of the wind is so bad you automaticaly slow down. But for city life, this thing is the best! You can make as short 90° turns as a bicycle can
Love seeing some other rides!
In december i'll be moving to my new house which has a complete workshop. My plans are to take a carburator harley engine and weld a custom frame for it. Chop it, and bop it! :p
