lower defense is best, or magic arrow, but I would go Lower def.*hugs*Sage
Since it's a champ axe, you will do best with 50% cold area. Cold is the best weapon damage type for champs and you will do more damage with an area than a spell hit. Lower defense is nice, but the damage you do total with an area is greater.
