Topic says it all, I'm mainly a soloer and I'm looking for the best way to solo mobs so I can gather money and items to get myself started. On my previous free shards (ages ago) it was mainly summon deamon and energy vortex. Can someone help me figure it out please.

Necro Wither is a good choice, probably as Thunder stated the best way to start out quickly.
There are ways to be great at soloing in just about any method that suits your fancy. Pets and summons can be a really effective strategy as well if you like to play to that style. I also am more of a solo hunter and find using a combination of spells from different spell books magery,necro,spellweaving,etc along with my trusty bio pet is a solid combination to romp around with.

Thank you very much Thunder and Blight :) I was doing vampiric embrace + zelda sword but was getting my ass handed to me. So basically my next step should be to work on taming (I'm at 100) to tame a good pet and use that along with wither :)
