Hail evolites,
I have an issue where I cannot get UOAM to track me. My paths are correct, I rebuilt the maps for all the facets, tried calibrating, to no avail. I have the same setup on multiple machines (meaning 3 separate computers) and they all stopped tracking my avatar. I do not not know when this actually occured as I hadn't used uoam in over a year, but I have been aware of it since January this year, I just have not had time to play much and investigate this vexing issue.

The UOAM version is 9.0.0.0beta, which i believe is the last version put out. My Razor is at version 1.0.14.9, which i think is the most recent. Razor was being supported again when It updated to that, but I have no idea of its current status as the uogamer.com site is down so I cant see the development board. I tried using it with UOsteam as well, but it still will not track.

I am not positive if others are using UOAM or not, if this issue was encountered at some point, and/or if there is a resolution.  I welcome any assistance other than "did you check your uo client data files location path?" ;-)

UOAM is a very old program with no updates.  It still works with standard original maps, but prob will never work with the new maps or expansions.  There are a few newer mapping programs, but I have never used them

UOCartographer works great. If you run dual clients you will want to log your bank sitter in first, then launch UOC, and the account you wish to play & track, after.

I have tried UOAM and also UO Cartographer and can not get either to work. I had little hope of UOAM but tried anyway. Its old as dirt and hasn`t been updated/supported in ages. I hear alota people use UO Carto, but I just can`t get it to track player. Just sits on a black and blue screen. Downloaded the missing MUL files and also all labels and still nothing.

Just throwin my experience out there in case someone has had similar issues. If ya have and got it to work, lemme know what I`m doin wrong! Would LOVE to have a functional detailed map again.

You've already double checked that under Options, the EC & CC paths point to the right UO client directory? For example, my Evo client is at D:\My Games\UOEvolution Custom Client, so both paths point there. You may also want to click the Rebuild button at the bottom of the Options page to see if that helps.

Its game on tonight, lookin forward to tryin a few things with carto n see if I can get it workin. I do have the cc path to my evo custom directory. I never messed with the EC path, but i'll set that one as  well. Thanks for the reply! :)

OK, update on my problem: My UOAM now works again!!  For whatever reason it appears Razor is no longer communicating location data to UOAM. Though steam wasn't working either so I uninstalled both of them and download the latest copy of UO steam from www.uosteam.com After installing the fresh copy and setting my paths, I logged into Evo and opened up UOAM. Low and Behold... It is working again. Whew!! I will try to figure out the Razor issue when I get some time later, But, I can sail the seas again ;-)

On another note, I  did try many other mapping programs out there and while UO cartographer does come close, I still feel that even as old as UOAM is and it's lack of support for Ter Mur, It remains the superior map utility. Your mileage may vary ;-)

Happy days are here again...
