I've followed all of the steps in the How to Connect guide (using UOSteam, the UO Evolution client, the correct address and IP, remove encryption checked, etc.), but after I enter a username and password I receive an error that "There is some problem communicating with Origin.  Please restart Ultima Online and try again."


I've pinged play.uoevolution.com successfully, so it doesn't appear to be a port block/firewall issue.  I asked my son to try the install and connect from his computer and he receives the same error message. 


I'm able to connect successfully to other private servers using custom clients, so I am unsure what else to try. 

Make sure you have Downloaded our custom patch and have unrared it into a separate folder, for example c: games

Point client to shard
Open UO Razor, AssistUO or UO Steam and set the shard server to play.uoevolution.com and the port to 2593

Next, use the browse button to point to the UOEvolution custom client folder that was created by the auto installer. It usually is found in the C: > Games > UOEvolution Custom Client
