I've spent several hours so far paying attention to various pets while training their skills.
Lately I noticed that the Str/Dex/Int for them does not increase while training them.  Regardless of the pet, from what I realised, those stats do not increase.


Should those stats increase while training?  Or are they supposed to not increase over time and use.

my rune beetles all gained 6 points during their training

 As I don't know what you are trying to train, or if that matters; I cant say for sure. I gained about the same in stat points when trying some dire wolves. (6 points)

  However, those same wolves have gained around 20- 30 stat points by just being in combat with monsters worthy enough to raise there attributes up.

  I hope this gives a little insight on what can be done to gain pet stats. I know it doesn't help with the training elementals aspect, but I always thought everything you did with your pet was training as well. I mean they are gaining XP, and stats, and other stuff.. (like sp points)

Odd, maybe my Runebeatle is broken then.  Spent an hour and 30 minutes training it against the Tyrant training dummy in Red City.  The Str/Dex/Int never increased on it.  Maybe I will have to spend a few more hours on it.


Thankfully I'm not using the pet for Pet War this coming up weekend.  I just really like the Runebeatle for some reason.

Probably why I alpha and beta test games for fun, and dig into game systems to deep when I pick one to play.  Just wish I could get paid for testing of course, but those days seem to be gone.


Wonder if perhaps it was the tyrant elemental or the fact it was the red city elementals that I was using, that I saw no change in the Str/Dex/Int on my Runebeatle.  Or if it was because it was an elemental in general. Mor a combination of all 3. 


Wonder if I should Paragon one of their Elementals.  And test it out that way.

If a pets stats are below 150, they can be trained all the way to 150 on a training ele. Raising it above 150, or if it's already higher than 150, requires leveling the pet. I can't confirm if it's every level gives a chance for a stat increase, or if it's every 5 levels, though. Once the pet is level 40 points can be added to str/dex/int also, but if you're leveling a pet for like pet wars they won't ever make it past 30.


Also, as a side note. Pets that are tamed with equal Dex/Stam will have those two stats tied to one another. For example if you tame a animal and it has 30 dex/30 stam. Every point of dex gained will also add 1 stamina. Now, if the dex/stam is not equal when they are tamed, or if you add an ability point into stamina, it won't be tied together anymore, so it's generally better to wait to add stamina until the pet is max level if they are tied together.
