So after getting overloaded a few times at the Champs, I realize it is time to dive in and set up my loot bag.  I have been avoiding this because it is very confusing to me.  I made an alt and looked at the process, now I am more confused.

So there are categories that can be turned off (and back on or not?).  Say I turned off armor because I didn't want all the junk, how, exactly, do I set it up to grab artifacts or special armor items?  I don't want the vanilla chain mail shirt, but I do want the extra special cool chain mail shirt.  If I read things correctly, I have to go to a museum (or is it all museums across the land) and add back every item after clicking on it in the museum.

I would appreciate someone walking me through the process - no level of detail too small.  Tell me like I don't have a clue what I'm doing.

I read the Wiki.  I am asking for a detailed how to.  Go here click this, move up two, click this.  Not really, but almost at this level of detail.  So if i x out say armor, then I have to go to the various museums and manually add back each and every Item I might be interested in?

If so, that's fine, which museums, where?  You know, details.  Not a general you can add stuff back in. I was given to understand if you make a mistake, there is no way to reset and start over, so a little more detail is appreciated.

Thanks.

The truth of the matter is, the loot bag is an awesome feature. It is going to take awhile to get it right, and most of the default settings will either be removed or kept whole from the start.

Yes, you will need to go to the Museum to find alot of the artifacts that can drop, just by killing MoB's (Monsters or Beats).

Just go to the nearest gate and then to Displays section and you will find everything you might want to add to your loot bag.

Also, I would suggest adding small chunks at a time. Don't want to go insane, until you reach your 80's.

    I'm just saying.

Also the other day I saw the loot bag avalable on a stone in brit bank don't remember gold or tokens though.  So messing up isn't the end of the world. Just remember you can only have 1 on you at a time.

Hey, So I tried to set the loot bag up last night.  I used the [grab -t command to open the interface, selected the lootbag in my backpack and dropped armor, weapons, jewelry, reagents and a few other categories of items.  They disappeared from the gump list as expected.   I added back in all of the items in the museum, after clicking on each individual item.  Thought I was good to go.

When I use my [grab macro, I still get everything.  Am I missing a step? :-\

You can't add all the items most of them drop in your pack and not the body. And a couple of them have the same item I'd as normal items I forget the exact items. I do remember one was a robe though.

Perhaps you should set your loot bag using [Claim -t   ... this is a suggestion, and i'm not sure it is a fix.

My reason is, I set mine up this way, and I don't have issues looting stuff with the [grab command, like you mentioned.

However, I do not have any museum items on my list. And yes [claim and [grab are the same command, but slightly different. Think of it as single versus multiple.

  Later...

I need to go through and reorganize the setup of my loot bag.  I have over 37 pages of stuff that gets autolooted >.>

Waffles,

I have 30+ pages of stuff as well and still get overloaded with regular junk.

If you find a selection of items that works well and does not cause junk items to be collected, could you post the list?

I think we all want to collect the good stuff easily, without getting the stuff we would just throw out.

Bottom line, love the bag and gold vacuum!  Much better than the old way.  I'm not complaining, I'm trying to learn and maximize!

Thanks.
