1) How do I get a large BOD? Will the npc give it to me?

2) How do I get a BOD book?

(Gotta say, both the Evo and the UOguide the wiki is a little vague on this)

3) Also, bit of a stupid question but... To make really cool weapons:
       1. Mine better ore like valorite
       2. Complete BOD's to get runic hammers to work the better ore like valorite
       3. Kill high end creatures* and get jewels like mythic ruby from loot...?

4) I was watching this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi9Z9rF9DXI) and at 0mins 49secs the guy at the top of the PVP arena thing enleashes a freaking wave of fire! My fire field is like 1x5 tiles across and it takes like 2secs to cast it lol how the hell are they casting stuff so quick? Fireballs are coming out like a stream and he heals really fast, it's like instant magic...

5) *Where do I find these high end creatures? And... http://www.uoguide.com/Lady_Melisande am I supposed to kill this?! 100,000 HP? Intelligence 1,680?!!! WTH?! My strength is 150! My intelligence is like 110 I think lol Lady Melisande could take ten of me easily.

I have a contract to kill 6 ancient lichs and I doubt I'll be able to take one of them...


A lot of these mobs are high end, veteran level  monsters and you are not expected to fight them your first week here!  This is a very custom shard and meant to be challenging.  Take your time, this is meant to be a marathon rather than a sprint.  Develop your char and you will be in the action in no time!

I will take a stab:


1) Large Bods are given from the NPC's; sometimes wyou get a small others you will get a large (it may be based on your skill)


2) The ultimate BOD book is available at the brit smith shop for 10,000 iron ingots,  just have the iron ingots in your bank bxx and use the resource stone at the shop.


3)  The biggest ingredient in making high end weapons is have a high Smith/arms lore suit and plat hammers.  you want around 300 smithy/ arms lore on your suit.
How could you get 300 skill?  with what items?

4)  that might a a conflagration potion,  not 100% sure.


5)  to find certain mobs visit Dominoes rune library; there are runes to most type of mobs and will make filling the contracts easier.

Now that you mention it, I have got large BODS in the skill's I'm 100% and small ones for the others.

10,000 ingots is way too much for me at the moment, I'm using them all up training my smithying and tinkering. That info should definately be in the wiki...

I'm a little unclear on this...

I need to get gloves, hammers, clothes, talisman thingies etc that put my smithying up to 300%? I have the globes of the hard worker and some hammer that adds 20% I think...  I thought 120% for skills was the max?
Plat hammers is Platinum hammers?

But how are they casting spells so quick?

To make the best weapons you need to get your blacksmithy and armslore skill up to 300; 


Im not sure how you can get that high?  you would need 30 items at +10...

Most players get 120-240 skill from what I have seen to make great weapons

Isn't bs capped at 240? Stats % are based on the runic hammers color, since you only need 240 to use the plat runic, why go over?

You can reach 300 easy with augments combined with a 60 ASH. Dont forget there are 19 equipment slot, out of 19, 12 can be socketed. Using bs gear with arms lore augs seems to be the trend, i dont understand why people are raising arms lore just for additionnal damage inc but they do!

I am not sure where the 300 skill requirement came from. and I have heard some people say you need high luck ontop of that. Maybe it does make a difference, but I sure as heck haven not noticed what it is (other than DI)

What i do know is that i can make the same quality of weapon with Plat Runic as people rocking the 300 suits and high armslore. The only difference i have found is their stuff would have a lot more base DI.
