Been playing a few days and been working on raising my skills, loving some of the custom stuff and currently got kitted out with a few things.
I want to grind some gold and go a small spending spree and have a couple questions about the loot bag and salvage bag.


How exactly do these work?
I tried to set my autoloot agent in UOSteam to no real sucess. So I want to try and set my loot bag up, firstly to loot regs for necro/magery and also gems as I will be grinding solons for gems for a bit. I looked on Wiki and am a bit overwhelmed so some help would be great. Also what does the salvage bag do? I found it on a provisioner.

The loot bag works with the [grab command. Type "[grab -t" then target the bag to set the different items it will loot off your fallen foes. It does delete their corpses, so if you want to look over anything you've slain, do so before using the command.

The salvage bag recycles items made of ingots and cloth/leather. Throw them in the bag, single click the bag, and then select the option you want. You will need to have the correct tools on you as well when salvaging.

Thats seems to have worked.
On OSI years ago I used to grind Solons outside, I forget where, not in the hives in the mountains. Anyone remember this place?

Also, I am in shame at the moment bashing Elementals and I see a 0% chance of a arty keep popping up, what's that about?

Glad to have helped. The Solens in the mountainous area is the entrance to Wind. That is NE of Despise and N of Britain. A few Solens can be found in the forest NE of Vesper as well.

Not entirely sure what that system message refers to; I've killed a harpy with a 0% chance and gotten some lackluster artifact in past.

Sorry for late reply, I saw the Solons.. They seem to all gather at wind entrance and not as plentiful as I remember on OSI. (Not saying it should be)
I been there a few times now and run circuits around shame killing Eles.

I thought I might as well ask more questions here instead of starting yet another thread.

Where do I find or shall I say what animals/monsters do I get the custom leathers from? I tried a few random ones with no luck. But last I played UO was UOSE so do not know much about Stygian and Underworld.
