I was wondering if there was a trick or better way to keep items within a house, and not use the capacity of the house so much!
I hit my storage limit, and I do not even have that much inside my house, it is relatively empty seeing as I only have about 42 containers locked down / secured.  I remember being able to hoard items like crazy on other shards, but I do not know if having a bag locked down vs secured makes a difference.  Or is that what bags of holding are used for?  I been doing a bunch of crafting, so 500 - 600 items worth are simply wasted items that will be sold or destroyed once I have the time.
Just want to make sure I'm not doing it wrong, or if there are other ways around the item limit.

I understand items are a big draw on the server, but perhaps an increase on houses would be in order!  Perhaps deeds we could buy that could yield additional 500, 1000 or 2000 items to a house would be cool too.

This is one use for the various keys in game, though the available ones may not be of any use depending on what goodies you're hoarding.

Yeah,
Like I said, I have the common reg, ingot, lumber, tailor keys, but still those are great for what they are, but in all honesty they contain stack-able items which would only account for 30 - 50 items should the keys not be available.

I thought that on OSI servers and other free shards a "secure" container took 1 lock down slot, regardless of what was inside, and then items like furniture and decos were locked down, taking up most of the "lock down items" from the storage of the house.

I could be wrong.

I am also used to servers where items could remain inside a house secure as long as no one you didn't want to, entered the house.  Thus the use of tables to further secure your entry of the home, and back rooms that could be additionally locked.  As a fellow house looter from other shards, gaining access into peoples houses was not a difficult task, and often yield great rewards, esp. since almost anything but secure containers could be looted.  Even items inside locked down containers could be removed, just not the container itself.  Again, this could be ware I am getting the idea that I could possess much, much, more.

This sounds like the long gone system in OSI where items did not decay in houses and you could also be robbed of essentially everything. Breaking and entering aside, OSI also made a change to limit what could be stored in the house to lower the server item count.

The most simple recommendation I can make is get a larger house with more storage capacity or place more houses.

My suggestion is seek professional help.  Maybe you could put yourself in to be on "Hoarders"  because it sounds like you need to learn to throw some stuff away. :o
