Hi everyone,

Ive been playing on this beautiful shard for like 3 months now, played in dozens of shards and im playing Ultima Online since the release of the game and i still in love with it.

Im here for 3 months but im not so active. For me the thing is saving money for 120 power scrolls and buying them. Its going slow, but it is fine.

The main question is the way of making gold here.

Is it gathering resources? they are going for 1000x of them but not that expensive and you need really really high skill level for the best ones.

Not killing random monsters for the money for sure.

I see harrower runs sometimes, when i enter the fight its good :)

The champ runs, i think im really bad at it but i keep dying and in the end i end up like" f... this im going home" :-\

Can i solo some champs (can people do that solo?) for powerscrolls and selling them

Can i solo gauntlet with pet? (never tried in this shard)

Also the peerless ones are not possible to kill i guess (solo)

What should i do? taming pets? i dont think so.

Quests, quest item farming?

any spesific item from random drop that needs farming?

Need to find something except going afk and selling deeds.

Please give me some advice to make me wanna play actively. I don't have close friends here to adventure with me so if there is a way for solo, im willing to read what you say :)

Thank you if you respond <3

"Not killing random monsters for the money for sure."

here is where newer players make their mistake,  the gold you get off a mob is  just one component of their loot.  Many Mobs carry gems, scrolls, reagents, bottles.  These items can be sold to other players or NPCs for gold.

I notice you didn't put Gold panning on your list, you may want to investigate that.

If you go to Ilshenar Dungeons - Mushroom Cave - the teleporter to the Twisted Weald you will find Cu Sidhe's and various spiders in the swamp to kill. The Cu's drop level 5 tmaps which can be sold for about 75k each, and both monsters I listed can drop colored granite called an augment. These sell for millions of gold, the most popular being parrying for 4.5mil. There's also gold panning. The spawns on panning are static, so pan all over Britannia and find the large nugget locations, mark them in a runebook, and make good gold that way : )

@ Blackmamba

I'm not disputing you about Gold panning, but I know it got the overhaul a while back.

Was wondering if your are a returning player-- thought i recognized the name-- or if your information is gathered from the last couple of weeks?

I don't remember panning area's being static. I.E. I was under the impression that gold panning fell in with resource gathering. All random... + based off of luck or certain skills.

 Thanks for any information.

Gold panning is static, confirmed it. Also, yes, I'm a returning player. I have a runebook full of large nugget locations (as well as gem locations) and pick up about 200-300k per runebook run. You can easily make a mil or two a day.

This is good to know. Its interesting that this server does things a bit different I have been trying to learn the ways to get money and it seems like it is not too bad on this server you just have to adapt to doing thigns a bit different the fact that I see items with the same stats as an AOF for 100k throws me off and what not but its just adapting.

How much luck and skill do you have in the required fields, for gold panning.  I'm just testing a theory, not agreeing or disagreeing with you.

Thanks for any information in advance.

Some basic things you can do to acquire gold is gathering resources.  Mining and lumberjacking can be extremely profitable.  You could specialise in either the resources themselves or gathering the frost wood runic tools.
If you are after just bulk resources then Felucca is where you should try to gather them.  For the Runic Tools Tramel is the best location to gather them.

Making several characters, preferably on a separate account, that does nothing more than gather the Bulk Order Deeds either to sell to other players or for you to complete can earn a steady income.

Certain dungeons you can run through very quickly can be surprisingly profitable in just plain gold, not to mention any augments that you find while going through them.  For example, Bedlam in Malas I generally make approximately 30k-35k in just gold per run without killing the peerless boss.  More is then made if you collected all of the gems and even more could be made if you were lucky with augment loot drops as well.

Some of the repeatable quests, have rewards that are popular with new and veteran players, such as the Orcish Forge and Ice Cross Power Bow.  These are generally sold for 30k-50k.

Some of the long lasting quests such as the Vampire Hunter Quest for the Cleric Spellbook, which sells for roughly 6.5 mil, can be done over time

I re-evaluated and its more like 125-150k per runebook (forgot i was putting nuggets in my bank and selling in bulk). I have 202 fishing and 2270 luck. The +60 fishing pole is easily gotten if you put the time into doing it (took me about 8 tries to get the +60 pole), and full fortune armor will get you 1400 or so luck. The high skill fishing gear is really expensive, so go for the low skill clothing unless you're serious about sticking with panning before investing 5-7mil in a +10 clothing piece.
