Hi,

i've been searching on a wiki and forums, but there is nothing about this.. Basically, i'd like to know what augments actually do, mostly the special attacks from them:

1, Vortex Strike / Spike shield .. what it does exactly? Whats the reagent / mana cost, whats the cooldown... Is the spike shield aug on shield a passive effect or i need to activate it like normal special attacks?

2, Mind Drain - same questions as number 1

3, Stamina drain - same questions as number 1

4, Gift of Health - I suppose it is some kind of a healing..so again.. Whats the cost / cooldown / active or passive and how much it heals?

5, Tourmaline aug says that it adds "Weapon Speed" when inserted into a weapon .. what is that exactly? Is that a swing speed increase or lets say if i have a weapon with 4s attack speed and i add Legendray Tourmaline (+15 weapon speed) .. it will have 3,85s attack speed then? Or it has some other kind of effect?

6, Triple slash (weapon only) - that one i know. It is na activated skill (just as other special attacks)
Cost: 50 mana, 50 Stamina, 15 Hit Points, 1 Mandrage Root
Minimum Stats: 100 STR, 100 DEX, 75 Arms Lore
Effect: Deals triple the max damage of the weapon
No cooldown

7, Paralyzing Fear
Used on a weapon..
Cost: 10 Mana, 10 Stamina, 5 Hit Points, 10 Karma, 1 head
Minimum Stats: 40 INT, 75 Necro
Effect: causes the target to flee (same as creatures that are heavily damaged, that runs from you), duration 1s on a Paragon, didn't tested it anymore on other targets

Paralyzing Fear on a shiled.. ??? I have no idea.

Also note, that all the costs are not affected by LRC... Even if you have 100% LRC, you still have to use 1 head for every cast of Paralyzing Fear for example.

The reason why am i asking this on a forum and not in-game is, that there is no info about it... And i don't want to find that info only for myself, but i believe that other players who doesn't know this would be curious as well.

We have no option how to try this, cause of dirty expensive socket scrolls.. and even if you use one, you can't take that aug off it so... Some informations would be very appreciated =)

Thank you for any answers and if you got some other questions about augs, feel free to ask...

Have a nice day! =)

Vortex Strike:
min- stats/skills: 40 Intel/ 75 Magery
Cost: 40 Mana / 20 Stamina / 3 Diamonds.   Upon successful hit, produces an energy vortex to attack target.

Mind Drain:
min- stats/skills: 40 Intel / 75 Magery
Cost: 10 Mana / 5 Stamina / 5 Hit points.  Should affect the target the same way mana drain spell works. I haven't tested it yet to be sure. IMHO not worth socketing it.

I know Gift of Health aug gives you back some health upon a successful hit. I don't know what the minimum skills/stats or cost would be. best if used on a weapon of course.

And yes, the swing speed auds increase your swing speed on a weapon. swing speed is capped at 1.25 secs. so a weapon with a base swing speed of 4 secs and assuming you are capped on swing speed increase, will only swing at 1.50 secs. weapon with 4.25 ssi would be capped at 1.75 secs.

Thank you for responding Thallos.
Do you have any idea how the Vortex Strike / Mind drain works when socketed into a shield? .. I mean, does it have to be activated or lets say every time you parry a blow the effect will happen by itself (so it would be a passive socket)

Also... I know how the SSI bonus and weapon speed system works. I was more curious about what actually the Tourmaline aug does. It say "Weapon speed +X" .. So you mean that if i socket a Tourmaline with description (Weapon Speed +15), it means that it will add a property to a weapon "Swing Speed Increase 15%"?

all defensive and offensive augs require activation to work. if you are missing 15% swing speed and add a ledgendary tourmiline aug, you will be at the weapons max ssi. i would not put a vortex, or mind drain aug on a shield. it would be a waste really imho. even gift of health should be put on a weapon. hope this helps you.
