I was online. Then client crashed.


Now I'm getting from razor (did do a fresh reinstall trying to fix)


No CliLoc - Razor was unable to locate and load a suitable UO cliloc file. x2 (which I've gotten this warning ever since I started playing again but only once)


So I get the above twice now. And then I'm getting.


Could not start client
Unable to launch the client specified. (Error:Unknown_Error) TwoD:"-null-"


Any ideas on why this would all of a sudden happen? I had no issues yesterday. None this morning. But whammy tonight it broke.  :'(

There are 2 different drop down menus when you are loading razor.  Make sure that both are pointing to your current client folder.  By default razor points to a few different folders that the evolution custom client is not in.


I had razor crash a while back and at least one of the two defaulted back to a different folder (or auto detect).  I think it was the drop down in the middle of the window.


After that try loading the client and see if that fixes it.


Once again I am at work and I cannot tell you exactly what the name of the box is.

I know of which you are talking about. Razor wont even load that far for me to try and check if its pointing to the right folder.
When I used razor for the first time I had to redirect razor to find my client folder since on windows 7 it goes into 'games'.


But for some reason now. Razor will not load past the error warning.  :-\

hmm, Win7 might be flaking out about admin rights on the programs.


Let me see if i have order of events right (so I can think about it while I am away from my computer for the next hour or so).


You open razor
Razor gives cliloc error
Razor crashes when it goes to post the splash screen and does not let you pick client's installed location?

That link provided nothing.  Most I get from google is to change my reg keys.


I don't see why I would all of a sudden need  to change it. Worked just a few hours
ago..

Thanks so much Kyn. I didn't mean to run so quickly. But family was hungry..hehe feeding them at 9pm isn't a good thing. Teenagers like to eat! hehe

It wasn't the first error that was the issue. I've had that error since I started using razor.
The third error was causing problems.


But Kyn worked his magic mojo and fixed the issue!

Hi Bill,


Since we've moved our "official" support to AssistUO people that still choose to use razor are only going to experience more problems as the shard evolves, updates are no longer made to the razor client and thus it falls a little further behind every day.

If the shard is going for more of a AssistUO support. Then on the Connect page. Razor should be removed.


The reason I use razor is because thats what the connect page says to use. AssistUO is more for those who know scripting and can understand how to use it.


AssistUO is not for the average person like myself.  It takes a LOT of understanding and even more time to try and find proper posting on how it works. Which I will say is very little. And scattered in so many places.  Its a lot of searching and reading here and there trying to understand each different person's way of explaining and such. Then pieceing all that together. It is not very easy..lol


And I'm one who can write good scripts. Not great but good.  And Assist is driving me bonkers trying to get every single space name and numbers correct.

Razor has not been on the connect page since the last shard upgrade. However I did notice it is still on the Wiki. I am having that changed right now. Thanks for bringing this up.
