Hey folks,


What's the deal with the lack of reward for higher tier Bods? I just handed in a 20x Exp Valorite Plate Bod and was insulted to see that all i got was 3.8k gold and a Garg Pick! On a regular reward chart, that Bod has a 100% chance of a +15 PS!


Now i'm aware that there's new custom ores on the server that have no doubt seriously altered the reward list but that doesn't alter the fact that Valorite doesn't grow on trees and i had to burn through around 900 ingots to fill the bod. It took many hours of mining and i get rewarded with a pittance!


Does anyone have a decent grasp of what Bods are actually worth filling because it seems the old top tier ore is now worthless?


Also, while i'm venting my frustration - is there specific zone spawns for ore beyond Blaze? With items, i have my mining sitting at 113 but after many hours of mining, i've yet to see anything above Blaze.


Any valid info would be greatly appreciated as this has really left a sour taste in my mouth.

Was your BoD a large or a small?  Small would be 800 points and it has a chance at a garg pickaxe.  Up side to garg tools is the ore eles they spawn give a 5 use runic of what ever level they are.  I see about a 10% elemental spawn rate when I use them.  I realize this is not as good as a 115 BS power scroll but I dont think those are on this reward list.  They come from the crafter champion spawn.


As for the ore, it is completely random locations.  I have hit a spot and gotten platinum and then next time it respawned it got dull copper.


I am sorry you had this experience but I am sure they will look into it.

I see the system here is very different but it's not so bad when you have an idea of what you're likely to receive.




Still puzzled by the mining though. I was aware that the spawns are random but it's still a little odd that i've mined well over 1k of Blaze ore but none of the other two ores i'm eligible for with 113 mining have showed up yet. My initial thought was that the item properties weren't actually stacking but i'll persevere.

Mining skill needed to mine for each custom ore type
Blaze - 100.0
 Ice - 105.0
 Toxic - 110.0
 Electrum - 115.0
 Platinum - 119.0

Mind you at 119 it's doubtfull you'll see much plat tho. There's tons of armor with skill on it, and you'll be up around 150 real quick... then plat veins do come more often...

There are also elementals that drop 10 ore of a certain type (plat, toxic). Allot of people grind those to quickly stock up. Those elementals however are not new player friendly, not even very advanced player friendly either tbh But in a few months time i'm sure you'll be cracking their heads with ease.
