I do not recall any changes to Tinker dungeon for quite along while. It was always a med to high difficulty (depending on play style and gear etc). The only thing I have noticed that changed was some mob spawn points, pathing routes changed. And loot tables, drop rate for tinker gear was lowered alot, on bosses (not sure on regular mobs)
The Satyr type mobs have always been in there since it was released. Here is a helpful tip, if you do not attack them, they will not attack you. They are non aggro. You have to actively target and attack them. If you do attack them, they will discord, calm, Provoke on you and your pets. and it gets messy.
As to tactics you cannot sick pets in that dungeon and go afk. The mobs are strong enough to wear out some pets left alone. This dungeon is a good primer for the more difficult mobs, encounter in game. and the belethwhatever tinker boss is a tough guy.
Most of the "end game" encounters, pets can be more of a hinderance than a help, and many mobs will straight out kill your pet with anti pet mechanics. It is a good idea to round your playstyle (and gear). where you can be a tamer, and/or tank/melee , and/or caster, and/or bard.
We have unlimited skill cap, there is no reason you cannot switch to a differing playstyle at any given time.
