There has been some dispute as to what wearable items can and cannot be socketed. I suppose it would be easiest to just inquire as to what items, if any, cannot be socketed.

Thanks! 8)

The information you seek is in the wiki.  Some one has recently put a lot of effort into improving the socket page and it has a lot of good information.

Good socket page, there are a few more I believe that are available that are not listed on this page. I think there a few that have the values wrong, but it is a very good reference. I believe if you mouse over a socket that you have it will tell you what it can go on. There is a display of the sockets you can look at in game.

Yes the values are definitely not consistent on the wiki with what is displayed in the library, also, my query basically is; are robes, cloaks, tunics, shoes and clothing socketable.

Again this info is on the wiki, clothing items are not socketable, with the exception of the vampire robe, it was scripted as an armor item

They are not listed on the wiki, but I have seen some robes socketed in game and have been given conflicting feedback on the other, above mentioned items.

Thanks! 8)

Some robes are coded as armor like the vampire robe (hence socketable).  Some talisman are coded as jewelry so they are socketable (i think talisman of flame) while others are not.

In general the first line of the wiki states what can be socketed: Armor, Weapons, Jewelry will always be socketable.  Anything beyond those becomes iffy and special case because of how they are scripted.

I will add that everything can be socketed but not all items can have augments added to them even if sockets are available, i have a 5 socket shirt that cannot hold augments so be carefull when adding sockets to an object.
Tali of the moon, friday the 13th tali, mithril tali and a few others can be socketed. Usualy, if its made of cloth (clothing, footwear, cloaks), the object cannot be socketed but some exceptions come to mind, stealthy boots among others can be socketed.

Good to know, could use stealthy boots and add lumberjacking.
Good reply, thanks! 8)
