I was disapointed to notice that the required ingredients to make ointments, tonics and such were changed and not for the best. Considering you have a pet at 50 poison resist, and that a single ointment will raise that number by 3 points, you need 9 ointment which requires 1 lard of Paroxidimus each, so i need to kill 9 times the thoughest boss in game just to get my pet's poison resist to 75.
The other ingredients are captured essence, Grizzled bones, Dread horn mane, Eye of Travesty!
Before the changes, ingredients required gave plant growers a way to earn good gold, and just to make a profit we had to sell the ointments for 110k on average, with the new ingredients we will need to sell them for 1m each. Price in itself is a small set back, but denying a steady income to the small, very small group of people growing plants is another. No reason why i see less plants on vendors and not a single ointment vendor.
The one thing i liked about oints was that you didn't have to kill a single thing to make gold and the ingredients required to make them was a good pay day for a new player or even vet player who couldn't or didn't want to go out farming.
Anyways, this is my simple opinion, maybe theres a big plan behind all this, but right now, i think its a mistake and i feel it doesn't help the shards diversity of play style, crafter, farmer, harvester or which ever it is you want to have fun with.
Yes this system will get a complete overhaul in the future, it will make sense to the growers, crafters and the buyers again
