A few nights ago Sgt. Palameta approached me with the question, "What does Parley mean?". I found this amusing and asked him why he would ever ask me such a thing. He proceded to tell me of a champ spawn he had raided in which the opposing character kept saying, "Parley". Now this, I found the be extremely interesting and somewhat enticing. I explained it to him as he is of ignoble blood and unawares of the niceties of gentlemanly conduct. This did make me wonder, though, if everyone were fluent in the existence and definition of the term. For the blissfully ignorant, I pull this definition directly from wikipedia.
"Parley (/ˈpɑrli/) is a discussion or conference, especially one between enemies over terms of a truce or other matters."
In the pirates of the caribbean films it was introduced as part of a pirate code. This is purely fantastical, yet oddly appealing at the same time. We, Imitatores Draconum, have decided after much deliberation that we will be honoring the fantastical and historically accurate terms and the existence of Parley. What does this mean for you? Its simple. You are minding your business enjoying a champ spawn, and my minions come bidding you an untimely demise. You can then choose whatever decision that you would normally choose (78% percent of you die, 98% lose the spawn; seriously, we have calculated that) or you can invoke the right of Parley. Upon invoking this right we will escort you away from the champ slightly so that the details can be worked out and agreed upon without fear of threat or bodily harm.
We will hear your proposition. As to whether we will accept it or not is an entirely different matter. You may still die and lose your champ to us, but we are reasonable. We will not expect the same offer from a new player as an existing veteran. This will be taken into account. I*D operates as a hive mind and any offer can be made at anytime to any existing player. The terms if agreeable will be upheld by all existing members for the time agreed upon in our agreement. This does not just apply to pvp though. At anytime a citizen of evo may contact us to meet and discuss any business arrangement. Being red we will always be meeting you at fel brit and escorting you to our guild house. You will be entirely safe during the course of events. There is no word play there. We will not kill you. The terms that we agree upon will be kept private and are no ones business but yours and ours.
I will warn everyone though. Be specific in your requests. We will follow the agreement to the letter, but any items that are not addressed or agreed upon will not be taken into consideration later. If you ask us not to kill you for 2 days and we accept your trade, that doesn't mean we won't take your champ spawn from you. Be specific in what you want and/or expect. We are willing to work with you to a degree. What kind of payment is expected you might ask? It really depends on our mood at the time. In the past some players have not been required to pay us anything. Some players have exchange agreements with us. The sky is the limit here and you will never know until you ask us. All propositions will be seriously considered no matter how small.
Now for the exploiting crowd (you know who you are) you may be thinking that you can use the right to Parley with us as a means of avoiding hostility until you can escape. That is true. What we will do then is make it known to everyone of your dishonorable nature and proceed to kill you on sight every single time we encounter you. Your dishonesty will not only hurt you but anyone you are currently associated with. Friends, family, and guild members will not be exempt from this. You and everyone you know will be blacklisted from this system. Yourself as the transgressor will be permanently added to our kill on sight list but your associates will be able to remove themselves from such status by cutting all ties to you.
On a final note we at I*D love information. We like information to be accurate. Also, you yourself as a player, represent a quantifiable amount solely in your interaction with us. Keep this in mind when dealing with us. Any questions as to the operation of this system will be handled by me, Soulsunder or my comrade, Minos. We will respond to all intelligent requests and actually consider it rude not to. I wish all of you a pleasant evening and look forward to hearing from you soon.

I applaud the effort and the fun this can bring to the roleplay aspect of "good vs evil"
