Make sure you take the time to download the custom client+patch to see all the new artwork, buildings and mounts. Many players are jumpping on without the proper patch and see the wrong images, then quitting. Our shard is very unique and has 1000s of custom scripts and totally new graphics for the monsters and mounts that you have never seen before…its worth the effort!

Downloaded and installed the new custom client + patch auto installer, and it works like a charm so far... before Razor always reported that it can't find the uocilloc file, now there are no issues.

I had trouble connecting with Razor on Win7 using the custom installer. Someone suggested switching the compatibility mode of the client and in Razor. To do that, R-click on the client.exe and uo.exe in the folder, click on properties, click the tab that says compatibility and select Windows SP3. Follow the same steps for the Razor client. I also had to run Razor as and Admin but it did work! May try this if you are having trouble. Good luck!

Hmmm, I cant even seem to find a working copy of razor. When I load it up, I get the message "Razor was unable to locate and load a suitable UO cliloc file." then it load up and I enter the server address and port, hit enter and get an "unable to launch" message.
Razor can be downloaded from uorazor.com  Make sure you point razor to our custom patch folder on your computer.  Also make sure you point razor to our server play.uoevolution.com

Make sure that razor is pointing to the Evolution client location.

So, I'm thinking about installing UO on my laptop, but it's been so long since I've downloaded a client, I wasn't sure; can anyone tell me if I need to install an original copy from Origin and then install the patch from Evo, or if I can just install the custom patch from Evo from scratch?

Also, if I do need to first install the original client from UO Origins, or whatever it's called these days, can I install the "Enhanced" version, or must I stick with the "Classic" client?


You don't need the original client.  we have a complete package that contains all the files in an easy download.  Just go to the "How to Connect" section of our wiki and follow the directions to get set up.
